Excellent work up there in Oregon!

The first round of the 4-Year-Old Open at the Cascades Futurity and Aged Event brought the heat here in Redmond, OR.

🔥 Mike Wood Performance Horses has claimed the top spot with a stellar 221 aboard OHALEXIVEDONESUMTHIN – a striking mare sired by Rollz Royce and out of Boonitaish, proudly owned by Janice Eaton.

With fierce competition across the board, it took a 205 or better to punch a ticket into the next round. The bar is set, and the momentum is building for what promises to be an electric Futurity week.

But it’s not just the competition that shines here at the Cascades – the hospitality is second to none. Guests are indulging in artisan charcuterie cups and savoring a wine tasting with Bob Coolie, all while enjoying ringside action from the 5/6-Year-Old Open 1st Go. 🍷🧀🐴

🏆 Arizona State Championship Show – How to Qualify 🏆

👉 Top 5 in Points – The top 5 horses/riders in each class (from each club) are invited.
👉 Show at Least Twice – You must enter your class a minimum of 2 times during the season.
👉 Be in Good Standing – Membership with your club must be current.
👉 One Club per Class – Riders/horses can only represent one club per class.
👉 Declare Your Club – If you qualify at more than one club, you pick which one you’ll ride for. The next rider in line moves up to fill the open spot.
👉 Trainers/Owner– Trainers and owners may show multiple qualified horses in horse classes.
👉 The $50,000 Amateur and Boxing are nonqualifying classes.
👉 Ranch Classes– The top 5 are split between our two ranch classes.

✨ Example when a rider or horse qualifies at more than one club: John Wayne qualifies in the $15,000 Amateur at NACHA & SACHA. He declares NACHA → the 6th place rider at SACHA moves into 5th and gets the invite!

📢 Still time to qualify! CCCHA has 2 shows left (our October Circuit show, each day counts as a stand alone show day) where you can earn points. Check the standings anytime on the CCCHA website to see where you’re sitting.
