Oh the joys of fb pages. Unlike TikTok and Instagram, FB decides what comments are relevant and filters a lot out.
9 times out of 10 before I even get a comment notification. FB flags words like ava1lable, c0st etc usually removing these comments all together.
It’s good for rude AF people that instead of scrolling, leave some BS.
Took a screen shot and circled what I mean in this image. There are many comments I never see and apologize for this ahead. I do post a lot of updates to my page. It’s repetitive for active followers and new information with 50-75 new followers on average a day. I keep the page updated at least once a week with anything ad0ption related. I have been sharing about my last ad0ptions for 2025 coming up soon.

With ad0ptions coming up, let’s talk about having a jumping spider in a home that has a cat and or dog that has been treated with flea prevention medication.
You cannot, I can’t stress this enough cannot,
use topical treatments with jumping spiders.
Very high chances you will give your jumper DKS. Abbreviation for Dyskinetic Syndrome. Jumping spiders book lungs are open.

DKS is fatal to jumpers and is a very sad and debilitating way for them to go. We do not know if DKS is contagious.
It can be fast or drawn out. There are different levels of DKS. All depends on level of toxin when it hits.
Did you know jumpers often still eat with DKS can molt through DKS only to come out worse. There is no cure for. Topical treatments become airborne and get all over your hands and clothing.
If you are currently using a topical treatment, it’s recommended to switch to oral and wait 6 months before ad0pting.

DKS is no joke and can happen from several other things such as wearing perfume or cologne around your jumper or spraying it in the same room or near your jumper is in.
Same with burning candles, incense and wax melts. Anything scented you spray or wear can potentially cause DKS (hairspray or other hair products you spray).
As jumper parents, we don’t use feebreeze or use cleaning products near our jumpers. White vinegar and water will become your best friend cleaning. Shelving that is made of MDF board (fake wood) or partical board, don’t set your jumping spiders enclosures on. Off gases up to 12 years.
DKS is crushing to watch and you feel completely helpless.
I do not take DKS lightly.
You have to ditch all above mentioned being a jumper parent.

If you rent, ask landlord ahead if they spray for bugs. Find a temporary home for a few weeke if they spray once or twice a year.

What DKS can look like:
Jumpers stay low to ground sitting and walking. They “twitch” as it affects their central nervous system and motor skills. They move slow. Pedipalps move very fast. Day dream look in their eyes.
The bad end is falling over a lot.
Mismolting often happens as their motor skills already affected.
Do not handle your jumper if you feel has DKS. You can accidentally be bitten.

I swear anytime I’m getting ready to make a bunch of decor to offer with spiders, my Bambu printer goes down.
Thankfully 2 custom gyms are finished up printing and I have some leeway before I need to print base for NBC gym waiting on all pieces to get here.
We have 0rdered the replacements needed but Bambu orders have been notorious for me to take a week to week and half for repair pieces to get her. Tomorrow a holiday.

My husband has added a bandaid in sorts to hopefully hold a piece in place but until the replacement pieces get here, I may only be able to switch out a filament color once and print pieces that only take a hr to print. Some of my decor I’ve shown is over a hr per piece.

This means the first RTS decor pieces more limited and a lot more limited in colors I can run for now.
I do have a few pieces already printed from this weekend that will run first. Do my best with current situation xx

This design is hands down my favorite jumping spider design I’ve ever seen 🤩
It can be the ultimate comeback to anyone who gives you s**t about being a jumper parent or br33der. If ya know, ya know 😉
Not only as a comeback but come on, jumpers physically construct a home using their butt!!! I wish I had these powers 💥

To go with the starter enclosures with instar 6 ad0ptions, I will have ready to 🚢 decor.
Most will be magnetic. Gonna keep it simple and small until I have a better idea of what you guys want.

Our bleeding heart and bat hides with skull, web, cauldron and a reg ledge will be ava1lable. Sets or shroom ledges and a moon hide (not shown), with a Few more not shown.
I will print a couple of each in about 5 different colors.
Lattice in an array of colors and clear magnetic feeder dishes will all be ready to sh1p.

The first 2 to molt into instar 6. Others from clutch are not far behind. My goal is the 12th or 19th for the first ava1labilty week for this clutch. Sh1p the 16th or 23rd. Just a handful more needed to molt before I can.

I am gonna try something different. Instead of the couple i7 holdbacks going in the group, I will add here late next week. You can have me hold and add with i6 to 🚢 together.
Makes sense to do here so close together in dates I can offer 🫶

It just dawned on me and I am wondering if I should hold off creating my s3ller profile until 2026 when I will have more than one small clutch to ad0pt out. I was gonna go with the basic package. TIA

I created a guide for first time jumping spider parents. It’s important to know what stage of life your jumper will be, before doing all other steps. I hope this helps.

Number 5 other supplies will be feeder tongs, a fine mist spray bottle, spring or distilled water to put in spray bottle (no standing water with jumpers, so no water bowls), a hygrometer if your chosen br33der doesn’t offer them, paper towels and qtips and LED lighting if that br33der has used for your jumper.
I personally use and prefer stainless steel feeder tongs. They are long and hold up for years. A clear feeder dish if that jumper is old enough to go directly into an enclosure and you will be feeding mealworms or spikes.
Did I forget anything off the top of my head for supplies?
