After much consideration, we have decided to close our general waitlist for the time being.

Our focus right now is on working through our current waitlist and helping those families find their forever kittens. Once we have cleared the existing waitlist, we will be transitioning to a per-litter waitlist system rather than maintaining one large general waitlist.

Over time, we have found that an open-ended waitlist creates challenges for both our families and our cattery. Many families are searching for very specific traits, such as gender, color, or other preferences. While we always do our best to match families with the right kitten, we cannot predict the colors, patterns, or genders that will be born in future litters. These specific preferences can significantly slow the process for everyone on the waitlist.

Additionally, the volume of update requests and inquiries associated with an open waitlist has become increasingly difficult to manage. We believe a litter-specific waitlist will provide better communication, more realistic expectations, and a smoother experience for future families.

Please note: If you have submitted an application but have not paid a waitlist fee, your application will not be held. Once the waitlist reopens under the new system, a new application will need to be submitted to be considered for a future litter.

We are incredibly grateful for the trust and support our Pink Palace Sphynx families have shown us. This change is being made with the goal of creating a more transparent and efficient process while ensuring our current waitlist members receive the attention they deserve.

Genuinely this is the best community in the world I could not have asked for a better group of people. Especially when a lot of spaces within the cat fancy can be hurtful and unwelcoming.

I just realized we quietly blew past 7,000 followers and nobody told me. Not a single person.

I have spent years oversharing my life, my cats, my questionable decisions, my triumphs, my failures, approximately 14,372 kitten photos, and at least three emotional support spreadsheets… …and somehow we hit 7k. 😭

Update on Beatrice and Rumor

Both girls have found perfect forever homes. I am still getting a lot of inquiries about both. Both girls have found the homes that understand their needs.

Beatrice will be going home with kittens and with someone I am confident we will maintain the relationship for many years. Many qualified homes reached out, but I needed a place I would be confident would not lose touch after she left.

Thank you guys so much for all of the love and support for each of these girls. You really are the best community I could have ever asked for.

An official announcement is owed to everyone who confidently informed us that RW BW Wednesday We Wear Pink (Duck) was simply waiting until Wednesday to have her babies.

You were right. She did, in fact, give birth on Wednesday. And yes, they were all wearing pink. Sepia and mink kittens have officially arrived, and mom and babies are doing wonderfully.

In hindsight, I should have known. Duckie has spent her entire life telling us exactly who she is, and once again she was correct while I was stressed for absolutely no reason.

What’s even stranger is that my best litters are almost always born on either the 3rd or the 21st. It’s never planned. I don’t schedule breedings around it. It just keeps happening.

So when Duck decided to have her babies on the 3rd, after spending days ignoring everyone’s pleas to get things moving, I probably should have recognized the pattern. Instead, I panicked.

Duckie followed the schedule. As usual. 🙄
