Tiny Paws RVA, Rescue Tiny Paws RVA is a 501(c)3 foster based animal rescue in the Richmond, Virginia area focusing on neonatal kittens and puppies.

We place animals in foster homes, have them vetted and fixed, then adopt them into loving homes.

Mr. Dumpling is slowly but surely improving!

He's still undersized for his age, but he loves to eat.
His eyes are no longer swollen, and while they're not as healed as I wanted them to be, they are getting a little better every day. He can now open them, while before they would crust shut. 😞

He loves to eat, gets mad if his bottle isn't just the right temp, and purrs after every meal.

We're currently at 23 cats, kittens, and a puppy in our care, and can always use donations or supplies. We have multiple ways to donate that you can see at tinypawsrva.org/donate

💼 Meet our newest kittens, the Severance Litter! 💼

A former adopter reached out about kittens under under her dad's porch. We had an open foster so we happily brought them in.

🐱We have Keir Egan (tabby male), Mr. Milchick (gray male), Mark S (black male), and Ms. Cobel (gray female).

These guys are so cute that you won't want to forget about them waiting for you at home when you're at work (this is literally the only thing I know about severance, other than all the memes my friends share. I haven't watched it yet. Don't judge me).

🐱 There's still 2 more kittens they're trying to catch, which will join us when they do. And the best part is... After many many litters and years evading capture, mom was trapped yesterday and getting fixed today! No more babies for her! (Never leave Mom behind! That's not what a rescue does!)

🪻Willow is STILL looking for her home.🪻

This gorgeous girl is waiting to find the perfect family to love on her for the rest of her days.

She's a snuggly, sweet hound/pit mix about 6 months old and somewhere around 40lbs. She's crate trained, house trained, and working on her obedience skills.

She can be a little anxious but she really just wants someone she can snuggle with and a family to call her own.

Meet DUMPLING! 🐾

This little guy came to me on Monday. A kind woman had found him in her yard and she saw how bad he looked, so she reached out for help. I had an open incubator and a need for a bottle baby, so he ended up here!

As you can see, Dumpling had a pretty bad URI and major conjunctivitis, leading to severe damage to his eyes. The woman took him to the vet while she was looking for a rescue , so he's currently on oral and topical antibiotics, and his eyes are being cleaned multiple times a day. I don't yet know if he will regain his vision or keep his eyes. That's something we'll figure out in the future. We'll see our vet later today to see if additional medications are needed and start to form a plan.

The good news is that his eyes are already improving, and he's doing well! The inflammation has gone down and he clearly feels a little better. He loves mealtime, and he falls asleep purring in his blanket after he eats. He was even grooming himself last night! 😍

They're total floof balls now! At this point I'm scared to get them wet because they might just melt into a puddle with 2 eyes on top. 😂

🐕Please help Willow find her forever home!

She's about 5/6 months old, around 40lbs, and she's a mix of hound and pittie (The adopters of one of her siblings did a DNA test, so we have a solid idea this is correct).

🐕Willow is so sweet and has come so far. She was very timid at first but she's really come out of her shell and is a silly, snuggly, wiggly puppy. She's curious and smart, and is doing great with potty training (no recent accidents in the house!), crate training, and basic obedience skills. She's a huge snuggler, and is great about finding chew toys to settle down and entertain herself with.

She's a total goofball, and will keep you laughing with her antics. She'll knock over a bin of toys to find the specific one she wants and "woo" at you to get your attention if she's being ignored.

She does great with dogs and loves cats, but can sometimes be a little overly playful with them so a dog savvy cat is required.

‼️She is still an older puppy, so any adopter will need to plan on continuing to work with her on training and everything that comes with it, but She is already on her way to becoming an amazing dog!

We'd love to see her go to her forever home soon! She must be adopted within an hour of Richmond as she's still waiting on her spay surgery. A home with a fenced in yard would be amazing, but not required. Any children or dogs in the home MUST meet Willow before we will approve an adoption.

We are still looking for a home for this BONDED PAIR.

🐈‍⬛Nandor and Colin Robinson have always been buddies, but the last couple weeks have shown us they need to stay together.

As they've grown and explored more, I've learned Colin Robinson depends on Nandor to check things out and keep him safe. He'll often cry for Nandor until he comes back from his explorations. 😭

🐈‍⬛Nandor is outgoing and social. He's quick to explore and almost never stops purring. Colin Robinson is cautious and needs time to warm up. He'll be your best friend and is quick to find a lap to snuggle in, but needs time to check out the situation first.

🐾all Tiny Paws RVA kittens are treated for fleas and parasites, tested for FIV/FELV, receive age appropriate vaccines, and are fixed before going home.

Kittens must be indoor only and keep their claws. And yes, these 2 boys MUST go home together, no exceptions. If you apply and only request one, we will not respond.

I'm sorry I accidentally went silent on here.
Allergies took me down for a couple solid weeks, mixed in with stress about... Well... Pretty much the general state of the world? Sometimes it's hard to keep the little things going when it all feels dark and scary.

Maybe that's more than you need to know but I'm being honest.

But life continues, we keep pushing on, and we have little animals that need us!

The tree litter is growing like... Trees! 😂 They're so silly and sweet and have so much personality. They've been keeping their foster family entertained and busy. They're not available yet, but they will be soon. Keep an eye out! 💜

I realized that we never actually introduced our little family of Mama and her five kittens.

With the pollen covering Richmond non-stop and me hiding inside trying not to die from my allergies 🫠, It felt fitting to introduce this litter now.

🌳 Meet the trees! 🌳
Mama Magnolia, who is amazing. She has taken the best care of her babies, even while fighting some uncomfortable UTI-ish issues.
Then in order of photos we have Spruce, Ash, Juniper, Laurel, & Aspen.

These babies are fat and happy, and Magnolia is so sweet! Everyone is doing great.

They're not available for adoption. Questions about availability will not be answered at this time. :)
