Family owned/operated small batch, artisan skin care, hands on classes, & more! Hi there! My husband Ryan and I (Hannah) + our four kids are Dirty Man Soap Co.

We are a family that loves to play outside and get our hands dirty so good soap is important to us! Being together as a family is also our jam so a family business just made sense. We started our business as a side gig back in 2014 and, in October of 2021, Ryan left his previous job and we went full time! It's been an adventure and we're so pleased to have you along! We love making great products with good ingredients that really work. We hope you love our products as much as we do!

How Dirty Man Soap Got Started

People often ask how we got started. And the short version? Well—it started because I had MRSA.

Not fun. Definitely not something I’d sign up for again. But it did make me start paying a lot more attention to what I was putting on my skin. I was trying to heal, and I started realizing just how many things we use every day without really thinking about what’s in them—soap, lotion, laundry detergent, all of it.

Now, I’m not gonna pretend switching to natural soap was the only thing that helped. It wasn’t. What I was putting into my body mattered just as much. Food, water, rest, all of it. But a lot of folks focus on those things and totally skip over what they’re putting ON themselves—and that’s a big mistake. Our skin soaks it all up. What we use on the outside really does matter too.

So, I started making soap. First just for me and my family. And it sort of grew from there, little by little. It wasn’t fancy or fast. But it was real, and it felt good to make something that worked and that I could trust.

Dirty Man Soap Co. came out of that season—a tough time, sure, but also one that taught me a whole lot. And wouldn’t you know it, something good actually came out of all that mess.

We’ve had a lot of dirt under our nails and sun on our shoulders lately—summer is full-throttle right now. 🌞👩‍🌾👨‍🌾

Between gardening, canning, soap, making, and everything in between, I feel like I'm constantly washing my hands. Every time I do, I’m thankful we don’t have to use store bought "soap" anymore. My hands used to get so dry they would crack and bleed. 😔 No more.

Our bars are gentle, but they get the job done—and my skin actually feels better, not worse, after I wash. 😍

Just wanted to share that in case your hands are feeling a little rough too. Maybe some real soap will help you out as well. 🥰

New test "flavors" for Mt Capra: 1 is reminiscent of Frankincense & Myrrh, another of Sandalwood and Vanilla. The remaining three are Lavender Mint, Patchouli Orange, and Grapefruit Sage.

Ironically, the one I thought would be my least favorite is my top pick: Grapefruit Sage.

We're slowly getting our new work space a bit more dialed in, thanks to The Dirty Man's mad skills. The oil warming box doubles as the perfect height labeling counter. 😍

We finished labeling the last of 700+ goat milk cream soaps for delivery to Mt Capra during family tea time this morning. 💪😀

We like to play outside and dig in the dirt in our garden and we make awesome soap and other body care products.
