Mr. Brody, the Labrador Retriever! Prior to coming to Ridgeside K9 Charlottesville, his family advised that he was your typical puppy, lacking impulse, needing potty training, and energy for days!

Brody was enrolled in Phase 1 of our all inclusive puppy program, where our focus was on his foundation; slowing things down, establishing/maintaining boundaries, and growing confidence to help him excel. We were so pleased with his growth during his time with us!

Meet Joy — a resilient rescue mix with a heart as big as her journey. Before making her way to us, Joy was surviving on the streets of Mexico, carrying both the physical and emotional scars of her past.

Now safe and loved, her family reached out to us for help with emerging reactivity around other dogs and to build a solid foundation in general obedience. We’re honored to be part of her next chapter and can’t wait to watch this brave girl continue to thrive!

With Joy, our primary focus was slowing things down—creating structure, reinforcing clear boundaries, and building her confidence every step of the way. This foundation not only helped Joy feel more secure, but also set her and her family up for long-term success.
