We are excited to announce that we have a beautiful litter of AKC Registered Australian Shepherd puppies!

Our puppies are raised in a loving family environment, well-socialized with children, adults, and other pets of all kinds.

**What Makes Our Puppies Special:**

Let me start by saying- ALL my puppies are placed with a contract. The same contract since 2013!
They are always welcome on my farm and I’ll always take them back- but do not offer refunds.

Cody was returned to me after 2.5 weeks of being with the person that reserved him at 4 days old. I kept him for her until he was 10 weeks and finished that round of shots. She visited biweekly. Our contract strictly states there are no refunds unless unhealthy. The reasoning of still grieving her dearly departed previous dog and time constraints.

I am not rent a center for puppies. There was nothing wrong with Cody.. he went to the vet after he was returned. Stayed with me in training for weeks- then found his forever home.

Now, the person who reserved him is demanding their money back for him.. after they signed my contract stating no refunds.

I tried to make this woman happy by offering her training advice, an older dog or another dog from a litter down the road when she’s more prepared. I spent over 10 hours sitting with this lady before the puppy went to her. We talked over our program, policies and went over my contract several times. The puppy was happy and healthy- and I feel we honored our end of the contract.

How should we proceed with this? We don’t want bad reviews because we did everything in our power to make sure he was happy, healthy, and a well rounded puppy.. the original owner just wasn’t as prepared for a puppy as she would portray. This shouldn’t be a fault on our end as our contract states- there are no refunds unless there are health complications.

Most of you here know me- you’ve worked with me. Some of you, I’ve worked with for years. Im straight forward and honest and have always made right with the people who needed me.

How would you handle this situation? Because clearly- Im losing sleep over this situation. I’ll air the dirty laundry because I’ve always been upfront with everyone in my business.

I sent all of his toys back with her. Told her to get her money back on them. Told her I’d help find a solution. Offered an older, spayed, housebroken, low maintenance female in his place. I told her I would try to recoup some of her money by replacing the puppy with an older dog. She clearly had refund in her mind. I offered every solution except for a refund and it seems like she just wants money when she clearly signed the contract that is STILL on my fridge.

This weighs heavy on my heart because I honestly put my heart and soul into each one of these dogs and I WANT people to be happy. I see tons of happy owners on daily basis who have and love our program.

Running a kennel is expensive, time consuming and soul shattering. The clients that send me updates and love us are what keep this going. It would be really easy to skip the struggle and find another occupation but I’m not willing to let go of the passion that started this.

Breeders are closing their doors EVERYWHERE. I stay because I can’t imagine another life.

“And never, not once did he take his eyes off me.”

I was a BROKE 19 year old college kid when I ran across a 9 week old Aussie puppy on the internet. My soul immediately screamed at me that he had to somehow, someway make his way to me. He was expensive and 2 states away.. but I had a credit card for emergencies and enough grocery money to survive. So I ditched classes and took off for Georgia.

Little did I know- God had led me to my absolute best friend that day.

Flint sat in the running car while I finished college. Not once- but three times. I joke that he’s a dog with three degrees- however he is really that smart.

He’s been my pain in the ass. Containment is not a possibility. He can and will open doors, windows, emergency windows, etc.
He will not rest without me. Vacations are impossible without him. He tortures his sitters and my parents. He can jump and clear any fence.
He will run the mile between our home and my parents if left unsupervised and will ring the doorbell to notify everyone that hes gone home. I am so thankful every day that he loves me

Hes also been my secret keeper, my pillow to cry on, the only one that never faultered in my hard times and has lived the peaks of life with me.
He has traveled more of this country than most grown adults and is an absolute angel in public. There hasn’t been a person who met him.. that does not love him.

He’s one whole year into his retirement from our program. His age is showing but his absolute love for his people never slowed.

I hope to have many more years with my boy- however I’m sad that I didn’t keep every single puppy that he ever produced.

That being said, enjoy the moment with your dog. The hard times, the blessings. Enjoy them all.
