🚨 Shelters Are in Emergency Mode — and Every Space Counts
Across the country, animal shelters are overflowing. Surrenders are higher than ever as families face job loss, rising costs, and housing struggles. Every kennel is precious right now.
One important truth: Feral cats do not belong in shelters.
❌ They aren’t adoptable
❌ They aren’t happy in cages
❌ Forcing them into a shelter can cause extreme stress — and often ends their lives prematurely
When a feral cat is brought in, it takes a spot from an animal who can thrive in a home:
🐾 A senior cat who lost their lifelong family
🐾 A bottle baby without a mom
🐾 A beloved pet whose owner had no choice but to surrender
The best way to help feral cats isn’t a cage — it’s TNR: Trap, Neuter, Return.
Fix them, vaccinate them, and return them to the outdoor home they know. That’s compassion.
Shelter space must be for the savable.
Let’s protect it for those who truly need it most.
