CHICKAGEDDON 2025!!

We wanted to let folks know we are organizing our chicken production this year.

We will be selling mixed breed farm chicks as well as focusing on a handful of heritage pure breeds.

We are going to hatch out Dominiques and Cuckoo Marans this spring, first batch expected around the end of march.

We'll have small farm chicken starter flocks available.

We have quite a few roos and we make a note not to keep any aggressive ones. Aggressive roos around the farm are the worst!
Our roos are handled often and we work mainly with docile breeds.

Most of our focus goes on dual purpose birds perfect for homesteads in our climate... but then we like to have some of the best layers, best meat birds, and as chicken lovers, some breeds best for looks and laughs.

This approach gives us great pure bred lines, but also, high quality general farm chicks.

Of course, eggs are always available to locals $5/dozen.

Everything is organic/non-gmo production.
Non-vaccinated stock. Supplemented with herbs for immune health.
Fertile eggs.

Our chickens are let out of their coops daily and free range around the property.

Vibes of NY/NH today. :)

Roka and Blue out for a walk. Roka been in proestrus, so waiting on her to go into her main heat any time now. Part of today's walk was a test to gauge where she is. Fingers crossed she stays on schedule!

He was not impressed with "WHOA!" His reaction was "Dude, how much coffee did you have today?"

Hard to take good training pictures when working solo.

Also, hard working on his recall because he naturally works close. Velcro enabled. Which is a good quality for family pets, but a little more boldness, a pinch less stickiness is preferred for hunting dogs.

The older I get the more I think nobody knows nuttin' about nuttin'

This hen decided to hatch a clutch of eggs in January, in the middle of a cold snap.

Not only was the entire clutch of eggs dead cold to the touch a few days ago while she was off the nest (like ice cubes), but this morning one of the chicks was out sitting on her back, it was about 26 degrees out, and it was sitting on her tweeting a happy little chick song.
