5* International Eventer Emily Hamel is headed to Monroe for a 2-day jumping clinic!

👏She and her horse, Corvette, made history this past weekend at Les 5 etoiles de Pau in France. They are now the FIRST North American pair to complete all 6 northern hemisphere CCI5*s, making ten total CCI5* completions together!

☺️Emily has done a couple clinics at LHE before and she is always a crowd favorite.

And like that, it’s in the 40s and rainy in the Carolinas! Time to break out the blankets, friends, especially if your horse has already been clipped! What’s the most important thing to invest in when it comes to your riding?

Instruction. Lessons. Coaching. Education.

What makes you a better rider and a better horse person is not matching outfits, bits, gadgets, or gimmicks. Not a more expensive horse. Not a brand new piece of tack. If you are trying to decide between a new show coat and a clinic with a rider you admire: do the clinic. What makes you better is learning as much as you can, as often as you can, from people who know more than you do.

This is video from a lesson I took recently with at ’s farm in Aiken. I’ve taken a few lessons with Grant now, and I really enjoy them! For me, investing in my own education never ends.

Copy of current negative Coggins test
Signed Waiver

🔹Format:
Depending on entries, rides will be scheduled from approximately 3pm to 6pm.
We will start earlier as needed.
Tests will start in the large arena and finish in the small arena.
This schedule may be adjusted as needed.

🔹Facilities: Large outdoor GGT arena with lights for tests and warm up. Enclosed round pen for lunging. Ample parking.
🔹APPROVED HELMETS REQUIRED. NO DOGS ALLOWED.

What a great weekend at the War Horse Series!

LHE Team highlights:
A successful move-up to Training
A 1st place win in Novice
A couple riders who’ve never done a Horse Trial (and are now hooked!)
A couple green bean horses who were calm, happy and confident all weekend
And Nicki, Jennifer (and Lizzie) learned how to all ride the e-bike together (see comments)😜

👑 - Regal - T - Nick and Regal absolutely crushed a very difficult, technical Training course in their move-up, earning a 4th place ribbon! I am so proud of them!
🥇 - Lisdara HSH - N - Maddie and Owl finished on their lovely dressage score of 25.3, winning their division. It’s so fun to watch these two continue to “click!”
🩷 - Ton of Gold - BN - Meghan Fields’ first horse trial with Toni. They added just a tick of time in xc to bring home 5th place in a competitive field.
🩰- LH Dancing Steps - BN - Jennifer and Demi jumped their way into the ribbons, adding just a tick of time to finish 6th!
🌊 - Ondine - S - Morgan and Ondine finished on their dressage score of 32 in a class of 17 to earn 6th place - congrats!
🧡 - LH Bojangles - S - This was Megan’s first Horse Trial and Bojangles took excellent care of her! Megan says she can’t wait for her next HT 😊
☕️ - LH Coffee First - S - Irina and Dunkin accomplished everything they set out to do on Sunday. Well done!
🤴- King Arthur - S - Devan and Arthur tackled a move-up to Starter this weekend and made it look easy! Calm, confident, and happy. So proud of them!
🩶 - Don’t Stop Believing - S CT - Journey’s learning the ropes of being a show horse. This young horse had a wonderful, confidence building weekend with his rider Amelia.

🤎- Evan and RREF Rubix schooled the XC Training course on Saturday and left no crumbs. They schooled Novice SJ on Sunday.

🤓 - Peyton and LH Peter Parker also schooled the XC Training course on Saturday and also left no crumbs, and also schooled Novice SJ on Sunday.
