Omnipotent and I took a crack at the Intermediate this weekend .

On paper, it doesn’t look like a great weekend, but I am so happy with all of the positive things we accomplished!

We went home with so much learned, and will continue training to become a more knowledgeable pair at this level.

AJ, thank you for being my partner! There are no words to express my gratitude for this animal and all the experience I am gaining on his back. The things I have the opportunity to do and train for - with him and because of him - are so special!

I didn’t get to take TJ around the Modified XC track;
most of today’s cross country runs were cancelled because of the severe weather that rolled through Southern Pines. A huge thank you to for making the best, safest decision for horses and riders.

And lastly, a huge thank you to Bobby Meyerhoff of for your very valuable virtual coaching!

A super weekend for the LHE team with 11 horses @ the Southern Pines HT!

🥇 - BN - Moments Like This - Janna James and Mo finished on their dressage score (30) at their first USEA event!

🥈- BN - Jenesis HF - Shannon and Trigger also finished on their dressage score of 32.2. A move-up is next for them!

🥈 - NR - Port Maria - Jess and Revvy were in first place through dressage and cross country, on a 28.1! One pesky rail in SJ bumped them to second. Great way to start the season for this pair!

🥉- NR Jr - LH Peter Parker - Peyton and Peter ran their first novice HT trial this weekend! Their move-up was a great success; they were in 1st place through dressage and cross country on a 23.6. One pesky rail in SJ bumped them into 3rd in a competitive division. Congrats to them!

💜 - NR Jr - LH Marrying Kind - Lila and Annie also had a super move-up this weekend! They secured 7th and a beautiful lavender ribbon for these two. Congrats!

🥈 - Starter - RREF Rubix - Evan and Rubix were in 1st place through dressage and cross country on a 24! A hard look at a statue near the SJ ring cost them 4 penalties, but a super solid weekend for these two!

💜- Starter - LH Dancing Steps - Jennifer’s first show with Demi as her owner! They had a great outing together after a break from showing, earning a pretty purple ribbon!

🤎 - Starter - Ton of Gold - Michele and Toni have been working hard at home to develop their partnership and it’s paying off! 8th place and a pretty chocolate ribbon!

🥉 - Starter Jr - Lisdara HSH - Maddie and Owl finished on their dressage score of 31.1! Great first USEA show for this pair, congrats!

🤎 - Starter Jr - LH Henry’s Honor - Amelia and Henry made massive progress since their last outing @ CHP! I am so proud of their hard work, and earning an 8th place ribbon!

🧐 - Starter - C’est La Vie - Morgan and Coco had some nice moments in dressage and were one jump from home on XC when a big effort from Coco over jump 13 unseated Morgan and they had an unplanned dismount 😝 (Heels down!) Both are safe and sound. On to the next!

A huge THANK YOU to Adan for taking such amazing care of the horses both at home and at shows. We couldn’t this without him! 👏👏👏

My first show back after breaking my arm - at the same place where I broke it!

I was determined to have a good show - and we did!

🐎 - PR - Omnipotent - AJ and I had a solid dressage test (30.8) and a bold, incredible XC run. 3 rails in SJ bumped us into 4th. Still a super weekend with my guy.

🥈 - OT - Terry Jade - TJ put down a beautiful dressage test, one of his best ever! I am so proud of him. We finished on our dressage score of 31.4 in tough competition!

🥉 - OBN - LH Cabin Minister - Andy’s 1st USEA Horse Trial! He rode like a horse twice his age all weekend. I am so excited to see what the future holds for Andy and me - he is such a smart, talented guy!

🥈 - SNR - Port Maria - Revvy and hit the ground running to kick off their show season! They finished on their dressage score of 31.9. I smell a move-up in the not too distant future! Special thanks to Jess for the beautiful photos all weekend, too!

🥉 - BNR - LH Peter Parker - Peter and .eventing ended the weekend on a great note! Even though their dressage score didn’t reflect what they’re capable of, they finished on it by jumping double clear in SJ and XC.

🩷 - BNR - LH Marrying Kind - Annie and .eventing are working hard at home on their dressage, and the pieces are really coming together. It’s just a matter of time before the homework transfers to the show ring. They finished on their dressage score after great trips in SJ and XC!

💜 - BNR - RREF Rubix - and Rubix won the dressage with a great score of 23.8! They jumped double clear in SJ but one miscommunication on XC knocked them into 7th. This duo is beautiful to watch and their partnership keeps growing!

A huge thank you to my coach, , for his help this weekend! He prepares me so well for each phase of riding. I really appreciate Bobby’s time and commitment to help my riding improve!

Hoping to be back at Pine Top at the end of the month - and evidently a lot of other people do, too! I’m currently waitlisted. Fingers crossed!

💭I’ve come up with a new idea to share here some of the lesson exercises I set up for my adult ammy riders! I’m calling it 😜💙

📝In this lesson, we worked on an “S” turn with the goal of rideability through the exercise (harder than it seems!)

🗣️I asked my riders Camille and Logan to incorporate different transitions and bending lines to test our aids and ability to get quick clear responses.

🐎We used a mix of verticals and trot poles, at both the trot and canter.

🤔Is this an exercise you’d try?

I am hosting a Fabbri riding boot / KASK helmet rep at my barn in Monroe on Sunday, Feb 16. (Fabbri and KASK are owned by the same company.)

He will be able to measure you for custom or semi-custom boots, and depending on RSVPs, he will bring stock of Fabbri's new ready-to-wear boots. He will also bring KASK helmets to try on and take orders.

✨They've also just introduced Swarovski crystals you can get on your Fabbri boots AND KASK helmets.

The new Fabbri stock boot is called the Prime. It costs $690 and you can get the Dress boot style or the Field boot style. It is available in the color Black only (pics attached).

Fabbri has also introduced the Pro model stock boot. It comes in either the Dress boot or Field boot style. It is available in Black or Brown. It also comes with a Vibram sole (https://www.vibram.com/us/technology). It costs $1250. (Pics attached.)

🏇🏻For those of you who want a more custom option, I have attached leather colors and patterns to give you a small glimpse of what's possible.

(FWIW: I have found Fabbri boots to be well made and long-lasting - and I am really hard on my boots!)
