The dream for Rash Farm Retrievers began in 2011 when my husband and I purchased what we had no idea would be a once-in-a-lifetime dog. Ebonstar's House of the Rising Sun, aka Carter, was one of the best dogs we had ever owned. From a young age, he blew us and others away. But unfortunately, we lost him much too early. As we brought home our next lab Southbound's Say When, Duncan, we quickly realized that he was better suited for the lifestyle of what I lovingly refer to as a Laprador. For several years we decided to simply let our pack be and not introduce another puppy. Until January 2020 after losing an older lab we introduced Ex*****on By Fire, Ember, to our home. And she was all puppy with a ton of drive. A few short months later we did it again. In June 2020, thanks to some good friends of ours, we introduced Flex's Sip of the Devil's Water, Rylee, to our pack. I cannot explain how needed these girls were. As we loving refer to them as Little Bug and Little Monster, they are loving and full of drive. We cannot wait to see what these two achieve in their field trial careers. They are currently away in training with a good friend of ours Dillon Bass, at Old Mill Retrievers, prepairing for derbys and qualified all age stakes. As the girls trained we realized that we needed a name for our kennel. Hunting dogs have always been a passion of Joseph's family and his great grandfather Vernon Rash bred and hunted American Fox Hounds. Over the summer we found an old photograph of him with some of his hounds just after a hunt and it hit us, Rash Farm Retrievers. So here we are on a new adventure.
