Dr. Blake and Jaime recently visited South Coastal Animal Health to perform a surgery on one of their patients. While there, however, this naughty pup, Rooster, needed some assistance as well!

This cute but ornery face belongs to Jaime, Dr. Blake's technician, and he ate some items he shouldn't have. The team at South Coastal Animal Hospital was incredibly helpful and took some x-rays on Rooster's belly. Thankfully, surgery was not necessary, and Rooster simply enjoyed making some new friends!

🚨 NEW PARTNER ALERT! 🚨

Dr. Cara Blake, a Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon, was invited into the Veterinary Associates of Cape Cod for the first time recently and the team was so welcoming!

This cute 2.5 year old Boxer, Alex, needed a TPLO procedure to help stabilize his knee joint. Very similar to humans, dogs commonly suffer from injuries to the ligaments (Cranial Cruciate Ligament) and the cartilage (Meniscus) within the knee. Once these tissues are damaged, the knee becomes unstable and this leads to the development of swelling (effusion) within the joint. Overtime, arthritis will form, so not only will mobility be affected but the condition is painful. We are wishing Alex a speedy recovery! 🐾❤️🎉
