Let’s talk hookworms!I would say out of all the nasty worms this one is the worst!!!! It attaches to a dogs intestines and will drain them. Pretty smart huh? If you notice a puppy having black tar p**p/ or an adult …more than likely this is the cause! I believe in worming every single month. Puppies are wormed 2/4/6/8/10/12/14 /16 weeks then every 6months for me. Can hooks be resistant to treatment? Yup!!!! That’s why after 8 weeks I start treating with pyrantel and ivermectin together which is the same you pay a fortune for termed as “heartguard” it’s all about dosage. I just love saving people money ❤️

Let’s talk COCCIDIA… the dreaded C’!!!! Coccidia also lives in dirt/lives in water / puppies are puppies …they will run around in their p**p whether you have litter pans/puppy pads/ they will sniff each others butts…you name it they are gonna do it! What does a breeder do? They treat for it! What do you use. Normally coccidia roars around 4-5 weeks. If I notice diarreah and coccidia I will do 3-5 day treatment of toltazuril. Sometimes I use albon-it is easier on the belly. Just realize if a puppy has coccidia does it mean a breeder is nasty or a puppy is super sick???? Nope! This parasite can be carried and never show until stress yet again the same as giardia. I’m going to start screening slides on microscope and showing what this looks like. If your puppy ends up testing positive for coccidia in a f***l after receiving…does it mean your breeder don’t do their part? Nope! If your breeder took your puppy to the vet within 7 days of purchase and no eggs or parasites present…it could mean your puppy shed those parasites during stress and will pop a positive on f***l! Sometimes people just can’t afford to treat coccidia thru a vet because it can be so expensive for a vet visit…what do you use? I’ve included a few sulfa drugs that work! Toltazuril is a 3 day treatment normally and you have a weight chart/ Corid works also in water(I use it for my waterfowl) you can also go to Canadavet.com and purchase albon. I love to do albon for 7 days before a puppy leaves. It’s just super easy on their belly and also remember put a spoonful of canned pumpkin in their food it will pull out the water and firm th stool up super fast!

We are sorry we have not gone live this week!
Puppies are doing amazing!
We are gaining weight

We are on a terrific schedule for potty play & sleep time ..

I unfortunately have been pretty sick this week I definitely sleep when puppies sleep .. the family has pitched in to help too ! We are a great team!
Hopefully im rounding the corner it’s just zapped me my blood pressure is not being nice so that has not helped..
we are set for our vaccinations on Friday!
I’ll reach out to schedule puppy go home date and time …
They love to EAT 🙂 lol 😂
