We also honor the loyal service dogs who worked tirelessly alongside first responders, offering courage, comfort, and hope in the darkest moments. Their devotion reminds us of the incredible bond we share with our pets. 🐾

Your pup does the business during an evening walk. You scoop it up (because you’re a responsible pet parent 👏) … but then comes the age-old question:

Today we’re celebrating all the pawsome Dad’s out there—whether you’re a proud pet parent, a human Dad, or both! 💙

Thank you for the belly rubs, treats, early walks, late-night snuggles, and unconditional love. Our furry friends know you’re the real MVP (and probably the keeper of the snacks 😻).

Here’s to the Dad’s who always make time to play fetch, clean the litter box without complaint, and love their pets like family. You make tails wag and hearts full.

If you can’t hold your hand on the sidewalk for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for your pet’s feet. Walk early morning or evening, and stick to grass or shade. Let’s keep those paws safe this summer! 💚🐾

Join us for a one-of-a-kind yoga experience where the adorable world of furry friends meets mindful movement! Whether it’s a playful pup or a curious cat, you’ll share your practice with a shelter animal ready to spread love and joy.
🐶🐱 WHO’S JOINING?
Depending on availability, you may find yourself flowing alongside wagging tails or cuddly purrs. This class features adoptable dogs or cats from the shelter, making each session as unique as the animals themselves!
HEALTH BENEFITS FOR HUMANS:
Yoga nurtures the body, mind, and spirit. As you build flexibility, strength, and balance, you’ll also enjoy stress relief, improved mental clarity, and a deeper sense of inner peace. And with a furry friend nearby, the practice becomes even more heartwarming!
BENEFITS FOR OUR FURRY FRIENDS:
The animals thrive on the love and attention from attendees. For cats, it’s a chance to socialize and feel at ease. For dogs, it’s an opportunity to interact and bond with new humans. These interactions help them gain confidence as they await their forever homes.

We have a limited supply of spay/neuter vouchers for DOGS only, ANY breed!
This is made possible by a grant received from Petco Love and supplies are limited!

To receive a voucher, which is strictly limited to one per household, you must:
1️⃣ Be an Iredell County Resident
2️⃣ Bring proof of residency IN PERSON to the shelter
3️⃣ Provide a picture of the dog for whom you are receiving the voucher

For more information about this voucher or if you have questions about whether or not you qualify to receive one, please either:
Come in person to the shelter during our adoption hours which are Monday-Friday 12pm-5pm and Saturday 11am-2pm
