Why do we test our females progesterone levels when breeding ⁉️ A question Im sure many of you know the answer to, but for those who dont know why. Here Is why pg test are a vitial key to a successful breeding to your female.

I’m sure all breeders can agree on one thing, and that is we want our female to take on the first time. It shouldn’t matter if you do an in house breeding or use a 4k + stud. Why waste your time ⏳and money 💸 not sealing the deal on the first go around? This is why tracking your females ovulation dates is crucial in aiding the success of your breeding.

When you add progesterone testing into a breeding program it will help improve conception rates, supports better litter planning, and liter size! It reduces stress on your female by preventing unnecessary repeated breeding. Also when using chilled/frozen semen 💦 timing must be exact! These are just a few of the many reasons why these test are Important!!
