Close to Your Heart Memorial Glass Art

Close to Your Heart Memorial Glass Art Thanks for visiting our page.Become a fan for updates and specials! We look forward to working with you. Close to Your Heart was created to fulfill that wish.

Our company began when our 14 year old dog, Lola, passed away. We wanted to keep her memory close in a way that wasn’t mournful, but instead, was a joyful remembrance celebrating her place in our lives. A pendant or marble is a one-of-a-kind memorial that captures the spirit of your cherished pet or loved one. Using an extremely small amount of cremated remains, every member of the family can have

their own keepsake that will last forever. More info:

All glasswork incorporates a small amount of ashes from your cherished pet or loved one, to create a beautiful and unique memorial keepsake. A wide variety of colors are available. The white swirls seen in the example photos are ashes. All pieces are hand crafted by Charleston artist, Bradley Tubbs. All orders will be handled with the utmost care and respect. We understand the personal nature of these keepsakes.

Beautiful ♥

I took dogs home from work with me every night, learning as much about them as I could so that I’d be better equipped to help potential adopters meet their match. I didn’t think of actually adopting a dog, however, until I met “The Governor.”

Great article from our friends at Old Dog Haven about making the emotional end of life decision for our pets.

One of the most difficult, yet very necessary, aspects of our work here at Old Dog Haven is making the decision to allow dogs to move on to their next expressions of spirit when their bodies fail them and their quality of life becomes seriously compromised.

WOW.. This really brings home the thoughts that have been stewing around in my head recently. Talking about death is quite uncomfortable, and this really puts it in perspective. Thoughts?

(For this week's audio podcast, click here.) You're going to die. I'm going to die. Everyone around us is going to die. The reality of death is, of course, both obvious and daunting for most of us. With the recent tragic events in Japan and some very serious health news I received from someon

Absolutely beautiful tribute

On February 28, 2011, a raging fire destroyed the home of one of the co-founders of Recycled Doggies, a rescue group in Cincinnati, Ohio. The fire killed three of the owners personal dogs and nine additional foster dogs who were temporarily placed while waiting for their permanent homes. The tragedy

This little guy won't leave his best friends side. So touching. Loyalty in its truest form. ♥ (fyi, the update from CNN reported that both dogs are being treated by a vet.)

It's a universal truth that dogs are man's best friend, but they're pretty darn loyal to their own as well. Case in point: this tear-inducing video, via the website Jezebel, showing a dog, shivering and disoriented, remaining loyally by the side of a stricken fellow canine amid the devastation of th
