How Not To Get Scammed Buying A Puppy.
1. Video call with the breeder. Simple as that. Any breeder that is legit would be more than happy to show you their dogs and where you will be going so you feel safe and that they are who they say they are. If not, they are a scammer or hiding something.
2. Understand the average market price for what you are wanting. This varies greatly depending on a lot of factors. From roughly $1500 to $5000 covering a wide range of possibilities. For example; dogs from world famous Czech Border Patrol Jinopo Kennel breeding program are 2000 to 3000 Euro plus shipping, another 800 to 1000 Euro.
3. The scammer problem is much bigger than just German Shepherd Dogs. They target two groups; Groups with a high trust factor like a softball coach community for example and products that are in high demand and beyond affordability for most people. Certain breeds of dogs and cats fall nicely into this second category. Thinking you can get a Maine C**n, French Bulldog, or World Class German Shepherd for $800 and a $300 deposit is the hook. They just want your deposit. These scammers are out of country working on a scale you cannot imagine.
We video chat with every serious inquiry. We show you where we live and our property. You meet us and we meet you. We do not accept deposits and you pick your puppy when you arrive. We do not ship puppies.
Do your homework, understand what you want and what your are buying, and stay safe.
