To end the night today was National Dog Rescue day! I had no idea several years ago how bad the situation was in the shelters and in many other states, I think I lived in my own little bubble with my own dogs until I came across a post that my husband shared , he wanted to foster a dog that was skin and bones. A Rescue needed a Foster and he was coming from Louisiana. They were going to euthanize him for space, because they only had like nine kennels. I’m so grateful that we came this post , because of that situation not only were we Foster fail times two with that Rescue, but we realized we could and wanted to do more, even if it was just a little bit at a time so today, I thank all the fosters that have come across my path to help me ,the volunteers, the friends I’ve made along the way, and the wonderful people that I’ve met in Rescue. I am forever grateful to all of you, one way or another I will never stop advocating, educating or rescuing in some form of fashion. Just a few faces that we brought into our Happy Feet Family most have been adopted and the new additions. ( puppies)
Will be up for adoption soon, I hope many more people decide to adopt if not from a rescue then from your local shelter, there are so many great dogs just waiting for a home, and some have been waiting for a long time and some will never get that home but, will sadly meet a different kind of destiny.
