Posting for awareness so many fake pages and “ rescues please verify before sending money or supplies rescues will ask for donations but if you don’t see freedom pics and video and EIN federal numbers for your donations please don’t .. 🙏🏽 it is hurting real rescues and most importantly the dogs/ cats . https://www.facebook.com/share/p/173YzMBt9i/
🚨ANIMAL LOVERS — PLEASE READ. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY!🚨
There is a growing problem on Facebook that is actively hurting REAL dogs and cats in need.
Scam pages and AI-generated “rescue” accounts are flooding social media with:
• 𝗙𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀
• 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀/𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 & 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀
• 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗔𝗜-𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁
• 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 (many times those dogs were already put down or adopted/rescued by the time they post them)
• 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲
💔Meanwhile, REAL rescuers and networkers are fighting to save animals facing euthanasia/on the streets, and majorly struggling to get the visibility and funding they desperately need.
These fake pages are not harmless.
They are:
❌ Diverting donations away from legitimate rescues
❌ Spreading misinformation
❌ Exploiting people’s compassion for profit
❌ Taking attention away from posts of real animals in need of saving.

‼️IMPORTANT:
Following these pages & liking, sharing, commenting, & watching these posts BOOSTS them in the algorithm.. helping them reach more people, make more money off of your engagement, & take more support away from REAL animals in need.
👉 Instead, support:
• Real shelters
• Legitimate 501(c)(3) rescues (you can look them up in the Tax Exempt Organization Search on the IRS website to be sure)
• Known networkers who provide real intake info, IDs, location info, etc & updates
🐾 If you’re unsure whether a post/page is real, ASK. The rescue community will always help verify. My DMs are open.
Please share this so more people stop unknowingly supporting scammers.
Real dogs and cats are dying while fake posts are going viral. Let’s fix that. Thank you!
