We've had quite a few inquiries lately asking if we have any rabbits available so let me update you all at once.

We will not have any Netherland Dwarf babies this spring. Sorry about that! We are having difficulties in that area!

I've got 3 young litters of Mini Lops growing up right now. None of them will be available for at least 2-5 weeks. These are out of our best show stock so several of them should have show potential. However, winners are never guaranteed... especially if they are sold young since they will grow and change a lot for several more months.

Also, just fyi... we rarely have any fancy "fun" colors. Chestnuts and Steels all around here! We breed for type over color.

If you are looking for a 4H bunny I would live to try and help you out. Send me a message but just know we are still waiting a bit since they aren't ready yet.

Rabbit Show Day!!!

The girls and I headed up to Tyndall, SD today with just 3 Mini Lops and 3 Netherland Dwarves and came away with some great wins!

Highlights:

*Netherland Dwarves
- Youth Show A - Zanger's Katniss (Himi Sr. Doe) won BOS
- Youth Show B - Zanger's Seven (5 mo old Otter Doe) won BOB!

*Mini Lops
- Open Show B - Zanger's Clara Belle (Solid Sr. Doe) won BOV & Zanger's Ivy (Broken Sr. Doe) won BOB!

Ivy went on to win Reserve in Show for this show!

- Mini Lop Open Specialty - Ivy won BOB again!

After today, this puts Ivy at a total of 5 legs won - BIS, RIS, BOB, BOB, BOV. Pretty cool!

*I also enjoyed helping out in the lunch stand over the noon hour as part of the Mini Lop Club of the Northern Great Plains fundraiser. Thanks to Reada McConnaughy for organizing this and the Specialty show! And to the Mid-City Rabbit Club for putting on a great show overall!

Yesterday we went down to Abilene, KS to a rabbit show! I was hesitant to go because it was Valentine's Day and also we each only had 2 or 3 rabbits ready for the show table. However, it was such a great show and we came home with great results!

Highlights:

In Open Mini Lops, Zanger's Ivy (Broken Sr. Doe) won BOB show A! She also got a 2nd look on the Best in Show table later on! Zanger's Astrid (Solid Sr. Doe) won BOV in both shows as well. Together, this was 3 new legs earned for the mini lops!

In Youth Netheland Dwarfs, Emma showed 2 littermates that were just 4 months old so this was their 1st time out. Both were does so they were competing against each other. In show A, Zanger's Seven (Jr. Black Otter) won BOB then went on to win 2nd Reserve in Show! Then in show B, Zanger's Six (Jr. Black) - can you tell a teenager named them?? - won BOB and went on to win 1st Reserve in Show!

We are so thankful to the judges for recognizing our rabbits. To the club for the awesome carrier prizes that Emma won! And to those who have helped us along the way and have given us great breeding stock.

Specifically, this time, Six and Seven's parents came from Chris and Haley Weaver-Patten and from Chad Bauer. We are so thankful to you all for your help in our rabbit journey!

Anna has finally decided which of her 2 Broken Jr. Bucks to move along so here he is.

He already has 1 BOS leg earned (see picture below).

His mom is our Best in show winner, Zanger's Ivy.
His dad is a very nice Broken Blue buck we got from Barrels & Buns rabbitry named Fraggle Rock.

Thank you so much to the NTOP rabbit club in Lincoln and the Mini Lop Club of the Northern Great Plains for putting on such a fantastic show on Saturday! I took 5 Mini Lops to show and Anna took her 2 Broken Jr. Bucks and ALL of them except 1 earned at least 1 leg. (9 in total!) And, the 1 would have gotten a leg, too, but there weren't enough exhibitors in that show for legs to be given.

I am just SO thrilled with the quality of Mini Lops we have at the moment. And, honestly... there are only TEN of them in the barn right now (plus 4 newborns)! So, showing 7 and winning legs with all, plus knowing that 2 of the 3 left at home that day are our BIS winner on a litter and the dad of most of the Jr's that won... it's a pretty good feeling! (The 10th ML is our forever pet, Fudgie, and she doesn't show.) ❤️
