Over many years, this magical facility was home to tirelessly devoted horse, cattle, and small animal enthusiasts. Known for its reproductive services and state of the art surgical and patient care, East Lake Veterinary Hospital is currently rebuilding the team that will serve

many communities in Texas. East Lake Veterinary Hospital has been serving Texas residents since 1993 providing the best surgical, medical, in-patient, and lodging care for a variety of species. The East Lake team is pleased to expand to Centerville, Texas to fill the need created when this well known facility originally closed at the end of 2021. We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Animal Caretaker & Maintenance Technician to join our mixed animal veterinary hospital! This is a hands-on, physically active position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, caring for animals, and takes pride in helping maintain a professional, well groomed facility.

Responsibilities 🧡
• Provide positive and productive daily care and handling for a variety of animals, including:
◦ Horses
◦ Alpacas
◦ Cattle, goats, and other livestock
◦ Dogs & cats
• Clean and maintain stalls, kennels, barns, and common animal areas (mucking, sanitizing, bedding, laundry, etc.)
• Ensure grounds and facility are kept clean, safe, and well groomed at all times
• Assist with feeding, watering, and monitoring animal health and behavior
• Operate farm and facility equipment, including tractors, mowers, and power tools
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment and facility
• Support veterinary team during procedures and/or transport when needed
• Work in all weather conditions and be available on weekends, holidays, or evenings as needed. Animals need great care every day!

Qualifications 🧡
• Experience with animal handling and care (large and small animals preferred)
• Familiarity with operating tractors, zero-turn mowers, and other farm equipment
• Basic mechanical and maintenance skills
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks with unwavering stamina
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
