Over many years, this magical facility was home to tirelessly devoted horse, cattle, and small animal enthusiasts. Known for its reproductive services and state of the art surgical and patient care, East Lake Veterinary Hospital is currently rebuilding the team that will serve

many communities in Texas. East Lake Veterinary Hospital has been serving Texas residents since 1993 providing the best surgical, medical, in-patient, and lodging care for a variety of species. The East Lake team is pleased to expand to Centerville, Texas to fill the need created when this well known facility originally closed at the end of 2021. When Dr. Fling tangled with a wild horse and broke a couple of ribs, she knew she needed to call for help. Camilid Corner's own Tina O'Connell came to the rescue quickly to finish out East Lake's seasonal shearing for all the alpacas and llamas.

Tina worked swiftly, gently and stress free with her innovative tools to provide the best shearing for the season.

Now every one will be ready to slide into the Texas summer in cool style!

The morning started with this little angel found left on the front porch of East Lake at Center Ranch. This poor puppy has broken legs and needs help.

If you know who she belongs to, please reach out!

In the meantime, East Lake Pet Orphanage will assume responsibility for her care and
her injuries will be managed and she will become available for adoption.

She is named Kelly Kelley after the nurse who found her this morning, and after a high school classmate of Dr. Fling’s who survived a terrible car accident and always kept a positive outlook on life despite the level of trauma she experienced.

Meet baby Sugar Cookie! 🦙 Weighing in at a leggy 15 pounds, this little girl is slowly building strength. Her mother is learning to be a mom, and building her maternal skills. So much that is “natural” does not come naturally to new moms and neonates. The East Lake doctors and nurses are working ‘round the clock to support hourly nursing, tube feedings, and comfort for this pair. Congrats mom and baby Sugar Cookie! 🍪🧡

Congratulations DOCTOR Christopher “Ian” Hille!!!

“Dr. Ian”, son of proud parents, Dr. Karen Fling and Dr. David Hille, has completed his doctorate in veterinary medicine. Many clients already know Dr. Ian as they have watched him grow up at East Lake. He has assisted his parents in surgery from homeschooled early years and on through college, has participated in all night dog rescue operations, and most recently has been a part of the re-opening of veterinary services at the historic Center Ranch in Centerville, Texas, now known as East Lake Veterinary Hospital at Center Ranch.

Dr. Ian enjoys working with all species of animals and is compassionate and kind. His life has been an immersive experience in veterinary medicine as the son of 2 veterinarians, and he is the 3rd “Dr. Hille” veterinarian in the family. Dr. Ian’s younger brother is also currently in veterinary school and will be the 4th “Dr. Hille” in the family!

Dr. Ian’s animal family includes a Great Dane named Layla, a lynx point Siamese mix cat, both adopted in Centerville, many Suri alpacas, horses, cows, goats and a kuni kuni pig named “Pork Chop” along with chickens.

Dr. Ian, along with Dr. Fling and Dr. Hille sr. all enjoy spending time at each of the 3 East Lake Hospitals.
To meet Dr. Ian or to stop by and say hello, call any of our 3 locations. He is happy to be back working full time in a more official capacity!

A 3 year old child herself, this horse seems to want to spend time closer to friends her own age.
She couldn’t take her eyes off her new young friend and wants to follow him where even he goes. 🧡🐴+👦🧡

The East Lake Team is out at Elkhart for a usual day of coggins testing... but an occupational hazard exists for this group as they keep finding the BEST horses for sale here!

Our own Bailee Shirley is feeling all soft over this beaut! This one rides like a dream and does anything Bailee asks!!! 🥰😍

Has anyone seen Dr. Fling? Is she still out there with all the Longhorns for sale tonight??

Looks like we might need a few extra trailers tonight! 🧡
