It's a crazy feeling knowing that after tomorrow I am down to just one baby here. 🥺💛

These puppies have been part of our family from before they were even born. From the countless sleepless nights, early mornings, and around the clock care when they were tiny babies, to all the cuddles, playtime, and watching their personalities come to life as they have grown, I've poured so much of myself into each and every one of them over the last few months. They aren't just puppies we raise they are part of our family and now so are their families! Even then when it's time for them to leave, it's never easy. No matter how many times we've done this, the goodbyes are always hard.

But as much as I miss them, seeing them become part of another family is such an incredible feeling. There is nothing better than getting pictures and updates, watching them grow, and seeing how loved they are after they leave us. Hearing about all the adventures they're having, the bonds they're building, and the joy they're bringing to their families makes my heart so full.

I want to say a huge thank you to all of our puppy families for opening your hearts and homes to these amazing babies. Being able to watch their journeys continue through your updates is one of my most favorite parts of what we do and getting to see them live their best lives with you makes all the time and work we put in worth it!❤️

Update from Pandora's momma!
"Pandora is doing phenomenal. She is showing excellent responses to different stimuli and distractions. She is extremely good at observing and responding to the similar situation in an appropriate way.
Anyway, my blood sugar was a bit elevated this morning. I utilized Cleopatra (my senior dog) to show Pandora "touch" to alert me of my elevated blood sugar.
Pandora watched with incredible alertness.
I waited for 30 minutes and tried to see if she remembered the process.
I sat down on the couch and called Pandora over to me, I asked her to smell the cotton ball that had my blood on it with the elevated sugar and then asked her to touch the proper leg to alert for elevated sugar levels.
She followed the instructions perfectly and then turned around and did it without being prompted to.
Woohoo

She will officially be starting the training classes with the other students in a couple weeks, after receiving her next round of shots.

Thank you so much for everything."

Since we have so many puppies going home I want to remind everyone that while it's tempting to take your puppy everywhere to show them off and socialize them, places where lots of dogs gather such as pet stores, dog parks, walking trails, rest stops, and even some public parks can expose them to serious illnesses like parvo before their vaccine series is complete. Puppies are not considered fully vaccinated until they have received their 16 week shots.

The good news is that socialization doesn't have to stop while you're waiting!

✅ Invite healthy, vaccinated friends and family over to meet your puppy
✅ Carry your puppy in public places so they can see and hear the world safely
✅ Take car rides
✅ Introduce new sounds, surfaces, objects, and experiences at home
✅ Visit friends' homes with healthy, vaccinated dogs you know and trust
✅ Practice basic training and confidence building games

Remember, socialization is about positive experiences, not just meeting other dogs. A little patience now can help keep your puppy healthy and set them up for success later!
