We are open Monday-Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday-Sunday 10am-3pm. If you have donation items or a check to drop off, please contact us to set up an appointment.

We are dedicated to rescuing dogs from euthanasia, restoring them through compassionate care and veterinary support, empowering them to become their best selves, and placing them in loving homes that understand and meet their individual needs. Adoption meet and greets are done by appointment only and require an approved adoption application. Our sole purpose is rescuing dogs that are at high risk of euthanasia, surrendered and abandoned. We are a small facility where we house up to 20-25 dogs at a time. The dogs that come into our care get one on one attention, vet care, fully vaccinated and trained. Our goal is to provide these neglected dogs with a second chance at life. We learn all about them, their personalities, behaviors, wants and needs. Once they are fully vetted they become available for adoption. We search for the best fit family for each and every one of them!

Our sweet, one-of-a-kind Waffles has officially found his FOREVER HOME! 🏡🎉

Waffles may be deaf and have limited vision, but that has never stopped this special boy from living life to the fullest! 🥹❤️ He’s proof that being a little different doesn’t make you any less deserving of love.

After patiently waiting for his second chance, Waffles finally has a family to call his very own! No more wondering when his turn will come. Today is HIS day! 🥳🐶

And one of the best parts? Waffles is staying local! ❤️ We couldn’t be happier knowing this sweet boy will be close by, and we’re hoping we’ll get to see that adorable face again!

Waffles, you’ve stolen so many hearts along the way, and while we’re going to miss you, knowing you’re off to live your best life makes every bit of it worth it!

🎃🐾 HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS FOR YOUR FURRY FRIENDS! 👻🐾

Halloween is full of costumes, candy, and spooky fun, but it can also bring some unexpected dangers for our four-legged family members!

Our very own Tracker, Maggie, and Copper are here to remind everyone to keep their pets safe this Halloween! ❤️

🍬 Keep the Candy Away!
Chocolate and candy containing xylitol (sometimes called birch sugar) can be extremely dangerous for dogs and cats. Keep those trick-or-treat bags and candy bowls out of reach!

🏡 Create a Safe Space!
Constant doorbell ringing, unfamiliar visitors, and scary costumes can be overwhelming. Give your pets a quiet, comfortable place to relax away from all the excitement.

🐾 Make Sure They're Identified!
With doors opening and closing all evening, even the most well-behaved pet can slip outside. Make sure collars have updated ID tags and microchip information is current!

🎃 Watch Those Decorations!
Keep electrical cords, candles, glow sticks, and small decorations away from curious paws and noses. Battery-operated candles are a safer choice!

👻 Costumes Should Be Comfortable!
Not every pet enjoys dressing up, and that's okay! If your pet wears a costume, make sure they can see, breathe, walk, and move comfortably. Never force a costume on a stressed or frightened pet.

🚗 Keep Pets Safely Indoors!
With all the extra traffic, trick-or-treaters, and excitement, Halloween night isn't the best time for pets to be wandering outside. Keep them safely secured indoors.

Halloween should be fun for everyone, including our furry family members! Let's make sure the only scares this year come from the decorations, not a missing or injured pet.

🦋❤️ FROM A SCARED LITTLE CATERPILLAR TO A BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY… MEET MAGGIE! ❤️🦋

Every butterfly has a story, and Maggie's is one of patience, love, and learning to trust. 🥹❤️

When Maggie first arrived at TRUAA, she was completely shut down. Scared, shy, and unsure of the world around her, she didn't know who to trust or what to expect.

But just like a caterpillar needs time to become a butterfly, Maggie needed time to feel safe enough to spread her wings. 🦋

With patience, kindness, and lots of love, that frightened little girl slowly began to blossom. Today, she's come so far! She enjoys spending time with her favorite people, loves playing in the yard, and is discovering just how wonderful life can be! ❤️
