Hey all! We wanted to let everyone know that we will be CLOSED this coming Saturday July 5th for the holiday weekend! Out next open house will be in August.

Today's spotlight is going out to our special new guy, Ludo.
Ludo was found out in Olin as a stray. He was taken to the vet and found to have an injury on his tongue. They think he got into something like dental floss and injured himself. He is all healed up and doing great. Ludo moved into saint like he had been here his whole life. He has had no issues with any other cats and has been so affectionate with all of our volunteers. This guy will steal the heart of anyone he meets! Ludo is about 2 years old. If you think he sounds like the missing link you need, please schedule an appointment to come and see him.

Several of our scratching posts have reached their end of life, and we are in need of replacements. Despite the condition of this one, these stand up best to our cats' constant use.

A kitten can reach sexual maturity as early as 4.5 months of age! Our local shelters and rescues are almost always at capacity. PLEASE don't let pets or community cats breed. Make spay and neuter a high priority. Together we can stop pet overpopulation.

It was a good day at the Cat Cafe. I believe we received applications for 12 cats and kittens. Makes all the hard work worth it.

Today's spotlight is going out to one of our beautiful mama cats, Aqua. It's hard to see in this photo, but she has such stunning blue eyes, hence the name. Aqua is a mom to 4 little babes and she is very sleepy from all the care she is giving them. From the moment she arrived, Aqua was a sweetie. She wanted pets immediately. She will nibble on fingers if you stick them in her cage, but generally doesn't have these issues. She is between 3-4 years old and was brought in about a month ago after being found at a park with her kittens. We are not sure how she would do with other cats as she hasn't had much time to explore and she is still protective over her babies.
