Most of our dogs come from foster homes so they are usually a little more used to home life than if they came from a shelter, but they still need time to adjust to your home. Just imagine if someone plucked you out of your home and made you live with complete strangers in their home. You would feel uncomfortable and out of sorts for a while until you got used to the new schedule and procedures and rules. When you adopt, expect an adjustment period and be patient with your new family member. They really do want to please you, just give them some time and lots of love.
