Due to the recent storms we have found trails and paths to be either muddy or have flooding issues.

For that reason we will be canceling the Pack Walk for today.

We will post later the donation everyone helped with for Wild Thunder and start planning for next month!

It’s about time we got this started back up! We are super excited to announce our first 2024 Rescue of the Month as Wildthunder Wildlife & Animal Rehabilitation & Sanctuary!

Wild Thunder doesn’t just limit themselves to domestic pets, they also help with our beautiful wildlife when in need!

Information for this month’s Pack Walks have been sent out via our emailing list. If you haven’t received it, or want to sign up, send us a message.
While this is a free experience we host, we encourage bringing a donation (item or monetary) that we will collect at the beginning of the walk and present to the rescue at the end of the month.

What are Pack Walks?
Pack walks are for socializing your dog in a safe and controlled environment. You can walk at whatever distance works best for your dog without the fear of another dog approaching.

What are Pack Walks not?
Pack Walks are not bringing your dog up to every dog there to create friends. They are not petting every dog there.

Some dogs may be reactive and need a larger space than others. We create a safe space for handlers to work with their dogs at the speed they so desire.

That’s okay! We make sure to take our time to properly introduce ourselves and try and make it the best experience we can for your dog.

Even if it takes 30 minutes like it did for Steel the Schnauzer before even doing the nails. By the end of the visit he was taking treats from hands.

Especially for our nervous clients, we recommend a routine schedule for nail trims that way they can truly start ti trust us like Pip the beagle mix! We had to go slow with Pip too, but now we can walk in, give him all the scratches and quickly get his nails done.

Sometimes you just need to stop and smell the mail box.

With weather warming up we are excited to start looking at getting packages walks started back up!! If you haven’t signed up to receive emails on the when and where, send us a message or email! We are looking to start them back up in April!

In the meantime, we also offer walks where we come to you!! These are typically limited to the evening during weekdays and then on the weekends!
