YEA the asparagus is coming up, and that's a sure sign that springs just around the corner. I know it's not much but it's all I could gather before Luci ate it all. I don't mind her eating it. It's just that she tends to dig down and keep eating it and i'm scared she's gonna kill it, and it's a 30 year old bed.

Hi, guys.Ok, i've been thinking on it and I like to open the driveway around the first of April but it falls on wednesday this year, so I decided since the plants are doing so well because there's so much sun this winter, i'm going to go ahead and open up March 28. I do have an announcement that I hate to make, but I've kept my price at $3 a plant for years and all my costs have just skyrocketed, so, unfortunately, this year i'm going to have to increase my price to $4 a plant. I really hate doing this.

Absolutely the best little greenhouse helpers around. I didn't take a picture of Luci's prize because I figured fb would get mad at me for that. But i've always said that Border Collies are the best little mousers and ratters around. Luci caught her a rat today that I swear it was so big I thought it was a little baby rabbit until I saw the tail. Anyone who has a greenhouse knows how destructive those little rodents can be. I really do appreciate their help in the greenhouse.

This is HMS (High Mowing Seeds) Orange Picnic. Very similar to the Lunchbox peppers, except it's just a bit bigger, and it tastes just as good. Like the Lunchbox, they come in red, orange and yellow. I never understood why they aren't more popular, especially since they are not a hybrid, so you can collect seeds yourself.

And also they're just as productive.

Too bad, I'm not a Habanero fan because these Chocolate habaneros really were prolific and so big and beautiful.
