🐾 Tommy Pickles Update 🐾

We’ve had quite a few people asking about Tommy, so we wanted to share a little update.

The best news first… Tommy is finally home! ❤️

It wasn’t exactly the timeline we were expecting. The original plan was for him to come home Saturday afternoon. After another night in the hospital, we thought Sunday would be the day, but his veterinary team decided he would benefit from one more night before heading home. As hard as it was waiting, we’re thankful they were cautious and gave him the care he needed.
Tommy was originally expected to be referred to Colorado, where treatment was estimated to cost around $18,000.
Thankfully, the veterinary team in Douglas was willing to try a different approach. The surgery came with no guarantees and was considered somewhat experimental, but they believed Tommy deserved a chance. Crystal put her trust in them, and because of that, Tommy is home and continuing to recover.
We truly can’t thank the veterinary team in Douglas enough for everything they’ve done for Tommy. They went out on a limb for him, and we’ll forever be grateful.
Thank you to everyone who has checked in, sent prayers, and rooted for Tommy over the last several days. The support, love, and encouragement have meant so much.
Tommy still has a road to recovery ahead of him, and strict kennel rest is definitely not his favorite thing, but we’re just thankful he’s home where he belongs. ❤️🐾

🐾❤️ Dolly Dog Co. family, we could use some extra prayers and positive thoughts today for a very special boy.

Tommy Pickles, the beloved companion of one of our team members and one of Squid’s best friends, is currently in surgery after swallowing a sewing needle that unfortunately migrated into his liver.

Some of you may recognize Tommy’s name, as we regularly groom a few of his puppies here at Dolly Dog Co., including one belonging to another member of our team.

As pet owners, we know how scary situations like this can be, and today we’re hoping for a successful surgery, a smooth recovery, and good news for Tommy and his family.

Please keep Tommy, his family, and his veterinary team in your thoughts today.

I may be a couple days late posting, but don’t worry, Squid was absolutely celebrated right on time. 🖤✨

My little Squid, Schwid, Squiddy, Squishy, Squidley Dean turned 2 on May 29th, and I honestly cannot believe this tiny little gremlin is already two. Squid isn’t just our mascot or shop dog. He is Squid. And if you know him, you know that somehow explains everything.
He has the biggest personality packed into that little body. He is silly, dramatic, stubborn, sweet, nosy, bossy, and always acting like he has very important business to handle. He snores like a grown man, gets random bursts of zoomies, and looks at people like he has already made up his mind about them.
Since Squid came into my life, he has brought so much laughter, attitude, comfort, chaos, and love. He keeps Dolly Dog Co. under constant supervision and is fully convinced this salon belongs to him.
He is my little shadow, my heart dog, the dog love of my life, and one of the very best parts of Dolly Dog Co.

Happy 2nd Birthday to our Squiddy boy. I love you more than words can say, even when you’re being a tiny menace. 🐾👑🖤

Today is about more than cookouts, sunshine, and an extra day off. It’s a day to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives serving our country.

Because of their sacrifice, we get to enjoy the little things we often take for granted every day-building businesses, raising families, spending time with the people we love, and loving our pets.

As you spend time with family, friends, and your pets today, we hope you’ll also take a moment to remember those who never made it home and the families who carry that loss with them every day. ❤️🤍💙

Cali 💕

Yesterday Miss Cali was on a full blown “find my mom” mission 😂

Every single person that walked in got the look… “is that you???” 👀

And then she saw someone and just LOCKED IN 🤣

She HAD to go meet her… immediately 💀😂

So of course we let her go say hi… because in her mind that was 100% her mom and she was ready to go home 🤣

In reality?Absolutely not her mom 😂

And the best part… I KNOW her actual mom… like I’ve known her my whole life… she’s my aunt 😂 so I’m standing there like Cali… I can promise you with full confidence… that is not your mom 💀

BUT I’ll give her this… the resemblance was close enough that I was like okay wait… I see why you picked her 👀😂

She was fully committed to the wrong human and there was no convincing her otherwise 🤣

Wrong mom and all, she still did amazing for her groom and came out looking sooo good 🖤

Cali… we’ll try again next time 😂🐾

Yesterday marked one year since we officially opened the doors to Dolly Dog Co.

At that point, this space had already been full of dust, chaos, long days, and a whole lot of vision and determination.

And now…

Dolly Dog Co. is something I am so incredibly proud of.

In just one year:

✨ We grew into a full team
✨ We created a salon that feels calm, elevated, and intentional
✨ We earned the trust of so many amazing clients
✨ We’ve stayed booked out weeks in advance
✨ Named Oil City’s Best 🏆
✨ Recognized as part of Wyoming’s 40 Under 40

This didn’t happen overnight, and it definitely wasn’t always pretty behind the scenes.

There were long days, hard decisions, and moments I questioned everything, but I kept going.
