Mandy and Paula have always formed a cohesive team that consistently supports one another. The photograph was taken in 2012 when Help 4 Paws generously surprised us with essential gifts. Paula has been absent for two and a half days due to her caregiving responsibilities for Larry. In her absence, Mandy assumed responsibilities and alleviated a significant burden from Paula's shoulders by stating 'I've got it.' Given the demanding nature of animal rescue, which entails lengthy daily hours devoted to animal care, rescue operations, vetting, and other tasks, this support is invaluable. We initially met at a city council meeting, where Paula represented animal rescue interests, and Mandy approached her afterward to express interest in joining the cause. Over time, our operations have undergone significant changes, including relocating from Fordyce to Mandy's property and initiating transportation services to facilitate animal adoptions. Throughout our journey, we have encountered numerous exceptional individuals and assisted thousands of animals. When one partner is unavailable, the other faces considerable challenges. Paula would like to express gratitude to Mandy for efficiently managing operations during her absence with Larry. Additionally, we extend our appreciation to Brenda for her regular Wednesday assistance, to Tait and Andry for their support with transportation on weekends, and to Stephanie, who will commence helping this Wednesday. Social media platforms, particularly Facebook, have been instrumental in our ability to ask for assistance, and we are thankful to everyone who has responded to our calls for help, ensuring the animals at MMAR receive exceptional care. As we look forward to 2026, our 17th year of operation, we remain committed to our mission of assisting one animal at a time in finding love, trust, and a forever home.
