We know many in our community have been deeply concerned about the recent video showing a dog being harmed in Carson City.

We want to reassure everyone that the dog is now safe and in our care at Nevada Humane Society. He is receiving medical attention and is being closely monitored by our veterinary team.

This is an active investigation being handled by our Humane Enforcement Officers and the Carson City Sheriff’s Office. Due to this, we are unable to share additional details at this time.

To help our team stay focused on his recovery and the ongoing investigation, we kindly ask that the public refrain from calling the shelter for updates on the dog or the case. 💙
