It’s been a while since we posted. We’re hoping for good news with Volkan and Emine soon and will have an import female coming over shortly. We plan to put two litters out this year.

Ayla is growing into a really nice dog.

She’s with the stock all day and does what she’s supposed to do. Stays aware, watches everything, and is starting to make her own decisions instead of just following the other dogs.

At night she comes inside and settles down easy. No issues, no chaos, just lays up and relaxes.

With the rest of the Boz out working overnight, this setup has been good for her. She’s still getting full exposure during the day but also learning how to shut it off when needed.

One of nine and currently the youngest Boz on our property. Ayla is our indoor and outdoor Boz and gets a little extra privilege because she handles that role naturally.

Her instincts are pure. She does great with the goats and pigs and ignores the birds, which is exactly what we want to see.

It feels right having one Boz that protects the home inside at night and guards the porch during the day. Ayla fits that role perfectly.

Emine.
A towering presence. A walking beast.
Raw power, bone, and confidence—some females simply put the boys to shame.

No fluff.
No exaggeration.
Just a serious female.

This female is something special.

17 months old. Raised in Turkey. Generations of true working lineage behind her — not paper, not hype, not marketing. Real dogs, doing real work, for a very long time.

She is a powerhouse in every sense of the word. Massive frame, heavy bone, depth, balance, and presence. A true giant female that carries herself with authority and confidence. Calm when she needs to be, intense when it’s time to work. She puts most males to shame — and that’s not said lightly.

Dogs like this don’t happen by accident. They are the result of years of hard decisions, discipline, selection, and dedication. This is what happens when function comes first, when breeders protect lineage instead of chasing trends.

This is the kind of female that defines a program.
The kind you measure others against.
A true dog.

What do you see when you look at her?

Happy Monday from Hamza.
Raw power, unreal strength, pure size, and still one of the most loving dogs you’ll ever meet. His athleticism surprises everyone who sees him move, especially for a dog of his magnitude.

He’s the dog everyone wants to buy the moment they step foot here, but I wouldn’t sell him for the world. One day he’ll produce puppies for me, and that’ll be the only way anyone ever gets a slice of him.

Hamza is my oldest son’s favorite dog for many reasons, and that alone says everything. He means the world to our program and stands as a true product of our first generation built right here in Carr.

This girl Emine is a rockstar. I absolutely cannot wait to see what she and Volkan produce together. Proper structure, temperament, and correct builds. Her X-rays and OFA certificates are coming soon. I have no doubt in my mind about her conformation, but it’s always good to have the credentials to back what you already know.

2026 is her year, and I will be dedicating my time to her and Volkan as my top two prospects. I’m contemplating keeping something from them, and that doesn’t necessarily mean staying here. It may mean allowing one of my close friends or partners access to her genetics while being able to showcase them in a different light, outside of Colorado. Maybe Iowa with JSM Farms (John Moody) or Texas with Brice.

All I know is these pups are going to be hard to let walk out these gates—but it’s all part of the process.

Happy New Year from Boz Colorado.
2026 is a year we’re stepping into with a lot of hope and a lot of plans.

We’re looking forward to continued property improvements, better structures for our dogs and livestock, and creating an even stronger foundation for the animals that make this place what it is. There are puppies that will be going home to great families, new goals being set, and plenty of long days working alongside the dogs we love.

This year is about growth done the right way, staying true to our standards, and continuing to build something solid for the future. We’re grateful for everyone who supports us, follows along, and believes in what we’re doing here.

Here’s to an all around strong 2026 with all the dogs.

I will be taking this time to step away and disconnect for a bit while I mourn the loss of my good friend. I will be gone until the first of the year! I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎄🎇

I’ve been posting a lot lately, and it’s intentional. I believe it’s important for the world to see and recognize what these dogs truly are.

For those who are new here, I want to be clear—I’m not a livestock breeder. I’m a dog breeder. The livestock we keep on our small acreage is here to showcase what these dogs are capable of and to help point them in the right direction from an early age. We work with our dogs directly, every single day, guiding and shaping them while still allowing them to maintain the natural integrity and instincts required to protect the animals they live with.

What that produces are what I consider do-all dogs—capable guardians that can think, adapt, bond, and work across many different environments.

This is Emine. The best female on our property. An absolute powerhouse and a true working Boz. She’s intense, confident, and built with purpose.
Volkan is my top dog overall—but Emine stands alone among the females.

All 34 inches and 165 pounds of presence, power, and control. A once-in-a-lifetime kind of dog.

This is BozColorado.
