Balancing play time and chill time is not easy for this high energy group of dogs. Teaching to turn on and off the energy is something we like to work on for all dogs. Maggie, April, Luna, Leo, Waffles and Ellie are doing an amazing job at settling after zooming around the yard.

Penny and Mattie are practicing their focus skills with their trainers, as they wrap up their 3 week board and train. Mattie is a 5 month old Golden Retriever and Penny is an Aussie/Pyrenees mix around 8 months old. Training with distractions is not easy for puppies. They naturally want to pull and play so consistency and patience is super important when it comes to training.
Building your relationship and proper guidance is what will help them succeed. A board and train program is a great way to start the process for pups. Once they have a solid foundation, it’s time to teach their families at home how to reinforce all good manners. These two are rock stars, the dogs and the trainers of course 🐶🐾

S’more and Stevie had many joint training sessions during their board and train. Teaching calmness and appropriate play can prevent reactivity around other dogs. Effective communication is key to successful training and applying commands in real life situations helps create a happy household.

Welcome to our family Stevie and S’more! Here they are learning some tips from alumni Carly, Cody, Frankie, and Milo. Stevie is a 6 month old Dachshund and S’more is a 6 month old Bernadoodle beginning their board and train journey learning how to be the best pups they can be. The rest of the crew are getting a refresher to keep up with their training. Dogs are always in training and love communication. The more you build on that foundation, the happier everyone is!

Howlloween is almost here! Below are a few reminders to keep your pup happy and safe this Howlloween!

💀Make sure all candy stays out of reach! We don’t want any trips to the ER!
🎃If taking your pup trick-or-treating make sure they have a light/ or something reflective on to help cars/ people know they are there!
👻Sign your pup up for our Howlloween Pawty THIS Tuesday 10/28!
💀If your pup rushes to the door make sure they are in a secure place when trick-or-treaters come around! (Crate, separate room, gated off). We don’t want any runaways!

Meet our new students Seven and Otis! 🐾
These two pups became best buds and are loving their training and playtime together!
Seven is a 5 month old Malinois doing awesome in our weekly training camp, and Otis is a 6 month old Golden Retriever joining daycamp and private lessons to channel all that happy energy.
We’re so excited to help both pups and their families grow and learn together! 💛

Puppy problems? Nipping/teething and lots of energy is what we expect from most puppies. Start training and don’t stop! Little Pia here has quite a bite and her family is learning how to communicate with her in the best way. We recommend always arming yourself with lots of toys every time you approach your pup. Create a structured day…Potty, train, exercise, play, chill and crate. Using the crate will allow your pup to sleep, and allow you to get things done. Spending time with your new puppy means full supervision until you can trust them. Let us know how we can help. 🐶🐾
