What can a 2 pound, 11 week old Cavapoo accomplish in a Board & Train program? Meet Suzi…
In just three weeks, this tiny, incredibly smart girl has made amazing progress. Suzi is now fully crate trained, knows her basic obedience skills, plays beautifully and has shown incredible confidence and transition skills.
She has returned home ready to continue learning with her family, and we couldn’t be more proud of her. There is nothing quite like giving a puppy the right start in life. Puppy feature!! Junie, Lola, Suzi and S’more are living their best lives and learning at an early age. Teaching boundaries, structure and expectations is the absolute best thing you can do for your puppy (and you!) House and crate training, puppy manners, and walking nicely on the leash are a few of the basics we want all dogs to learn but mostly we want them to understand us in a way that makes sense! 🐶🐾💜

Balancing play time and chill time is not easy for this high energy group of dogs. Teaching to turn on and off the energy is something we like to work on for all dogs. Maggie, April, Luna, Leo, Waffles and Ellie are doing an amazing job at settling after zooming around the yard.

Penny and Mattie are practicing their focus skills with their trainers, as they wrap up their 3 week board and train. Mattie is a 5 month old Golden Retriever and Penny is an Aussie/Pyrenees mix around 8 months old. Training with distractions is not easy for puppies. They naturally want to pull and play so consistency and patience is super important when it comes to training.
Building your relationship and proper guidance is what will help them succeed. A board and train program is a great way to start the process for pups. Once they have a solid foundation, it’s time to teach their families at home how to reinforce all good manners. These two are rock stars, the dogs and the trainers of course 🐶🐾

S’more and Stevie had many joint training sessions during their board and train. Teaching calmness and appropriate play can prevent reactivity around other dogs. Effective communication is key to successful training and applying commands in real life situations helps create a happy household.

Welcome to our family Stevie and S’more! Here they are learning some tips from alumni Carly, Cody, Frankie, and Milo. Stevie is a 6 month old Dachshund and S’more is a 6 month old Bernadoodle beginning their board and train journey learning how to be the best pups they can be. The rest of the crew are getting a refresher to keep up with their training. Dogs are always in training and love communication. The more you build on that foundation, the happier everyone is!
