Save Them All Animal Rescue is an Illinois licensed, 501(c)(3) organization that works to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs and cats in Southern IL.

We are a solely foster based rescue run by two veterinary technicians who specialize in medical cases.

Found tied up outside sitting in 6 inches of water. No food. No shelter.

The good news: today she officially became a STAAR. ⭐️ The bad news: our sweet Blueberry is heartworm positive. 😔

We think this perfect, gentle, gorgeous girl landed exactly where she was supposed to be…but we sure wish she didn’t have to go through this. Thank you to the amazing foster that stepped up for her and stayed just as committed even after knowing she was heartworm positive. 💙

Forming long term relationships with our adopters is one of the most special parts of what we do. We meet amazing humans who love our STAARs more than anything and it restores so much hope and faith for a brighter future in rescue. 🫶🏼 Not every dog or cat gets this lucky. Not every animal ends up with a family, let alone one that we’re pretty certain was meant to be theirs from the start and it just took some time for them to find each other.

Getting updates and photos like this is our everything. It’s what we live for and is the “why” behind what we do and the “how” on the really rough days. Kida is living the life she’s always deserved with humans who deserve her! She is one of our biggest wins and will always be the face of what STAAR can do. She’s taught us to keep going, keep fighting, keep pushing for the underdog, even when things look bleak. We’d fight for her over and over again just to see this picture.

Thank you to all of our amazing supporters who stand behind us so we can keep our mission alive. To all of our incredible adopters who give our STAARs the amazing forevers they’ve been waiting for and to our fosters…the backbone, heart and soul, endlessly appreciated core of our rescue. Keeping the STAAR crew fed like royalty! 👑 Thank you Pure Pet for this incredile donation of food! This was only half of it because we ran out of room on the first trip! 😂🤯 We can’t keep our mission going without the generosity of so many incredible people and local businesses! How do we still have this adorable, little fish waiting to be caught by her perfect human?!

🐠 TUNA 🐠

They don’t get more perfectly tuxedo than this gorgeous girl! She is the last of her litter to find her people, but we know they’re out there! She is socialized with other cats and dogs. She is litterbox trained and already spayed. She loves to play and then curl up for snuggle time. She’s a perfect kitten!😻

Tuna is around 10 weeks old. Her adoption fee includes her spay, microchip, Felv/FIV testing, age appropriate vaccines, dewormings and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Drop us a line if this fish is the one for you! 🎣

Sweet as a Snickerdoodle and Shortbread! 😍🍪

These two gorgeous kittens are ready to find their forever homes! Snickerdoodle (orange F) and Shortbread (white M) are 8 weeks old. They are playful, loving and absolutely adorable! They’ve been very well socialized in their wonderful foster home and are ready to take on the world!

Their adoption fee includes their spay/neuter, microchip, Felv/FIV testing, age appropriate vaccines, dewormings and flea/tick/heartworm prevention! If you’ve got a sweet tooth, we know just how to fix it! 🐈🐾

**PENDING ADOPTION!!**

It’s been such a wild ride of medical cases this month that we haven’t even introduced our scrappy, adorable, little guy Jimmy Dean! ⭐️

Earlier this month, this 12lb, 10 month old dude found himself in a bit of a pickle…pissing off a mama fox. Well, JD got the brunt of it. Luckily he’d figured out his mistake quickly because all of his injuries were on the leaving end but boy, did he take a beating! 🫣 Thanks to one of our incredible fosters who’s also an ER veterinary technican, Jimmy got into emergency surgery that night and not only had 2 inguinal hernias from the trauma but once opened up, his surgeon found damage to his intestines and needed what is called a resection and anastamosis. Jimmy lost about 3 inches of his small intestine! He was covered in puncture wounds, some that required drains and was started on several antibiotics and pain medications.

It’s been just shy of a month and Jimmy is finally feeling like himself! 🙌🏼 He still has a couple larger wounds healing but outside of that he’s doing amazing! We are so grateful that we got a phone call that night, otherwise Jimmy Dean may have had a much different outcome. This cutie is going to be ready to find his forever family very soon, preferably one with no foxes. 🦊👎🏼😉

We’ve had a really devastating last few days so we wanted to share some REALLY uplifiting news! 🥳

Camo officially joined STAAR in January after an almost 6 month legal neglect hold. We fell in love with him the minute we laid eyes on him and waited and waited for the day we could bust him out. He was older. The spondylosis throughout the majority of his spine was the worst we’d ever seen. His skin was covered in masses from chronic, lifelong chewing and itching. He was extremely thin and had bilateral cherry eyes. To top it off, he had the most sensitive stomach and started vomiting chronically and having bloody stools. It seemed impossible to get weight on him. Well, turns out our perfect Camo also had a major heart issue, not surprising in an older Boxer but dang! The problems just didn’t seem to end for this boy.

But here we are…weight gain, skin and coat looking amazing, heart medications started that also stopped his chronic tummy issues, pain medications to keep him feeling like the spunky, goofy soul he is and HE’S ADOPTED!!

The other best part…he didn’t have to go far. His foster family, one of our founders, can’t imagine their home and pack without this perfect, lug of an old man. He’s a heart stealer, a smile maker, an endless joyful spirit and despite everything this dude has endured, he has nothing but endless love and butt wiggles to give! We are beyond thrilled for Camo! He landed exactly where he belongs. 💚🖤

Rescue is not for the faint of heart. You can experience the highest highs and the greatest reward of saving just one more life and in an instant, the heartbreak and loss can pummel you to the lowest lows. Some days the grief, the sadness, the endless feelings of not doing enough make us question how we wipe our tears and keep going. But somehow we do…

We lost one of our sweet little kittens last night. She never got the chance to live. She never got the chance to play and run and feel good. We are grateful she got the chance to know unconditional love and see kind humans rally around her. We are grateful to have made her a STAAR and she will always be carried with us, a piece of her living on through every new little kitten we can save.🪽💜

Please keep her teeny tiny tabby brother in your thoughts. He is still fighting. We are still fighting with him. ⭐️
