It is a very sad day for Second Chance for Animals. One of our beloved dogs, Rocco, crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning. 🥀
Rocco was adopted from Second Chance, just about 13 years ago by the Eberhardt Family. Many of our followers are familiar with Rocco from his fun posts and his adorable photos. His last post was just four days ago as he was enjoying a lazy day on the couch. 🩵

Rocco's family ADORED him. Their profound love for him was evident in everything they did. Rocco was their world. . . their four-legged son. ❣️ Rocco won the hearts of everyone who met him. We are heartbroken over Rocco's passing. Many tears were shed upon hearing the devastating news. We were just talking about asking Rocco if he would be our Senior Canine Mascot.
We extend our deepest heartfelt condolences to Rocco's family. Rocco hit the jackpot the day he went home with Taryn and Alex. Rocco had a 'home of a lifetime', literally. You will be missed, sweet Rocco. 🐶🦴🐾

Today, we celebrate siblings, Luna and Duke. They were adopted in December, 2021. They live with family members but in different states. Luna lives in Ohio and Duke lives in New York. 🐾🦴

A message of deep gratitude . . . 🩷

Second Chance for Animals would like to send a big THANK YOU to *Magnified Giving and to *Warstler Elementary School for their generous donation. Thank you to the entire Warstler staff and students for creating a culture of learning and kindness where compassion and empathy serve as a foundation of growth. The students demonstrated impressive skills in planning, organizing, team-building, collaboration, goal-setting, decision-making, and hard work. They learned the importance of charitable giving and philanthropy. ♥️

Second Chance volunteers visited Warstler School during the months of April and May to learn about their Magnified Giving Project and to introduce them to Second Chance for Animals.

'Marshmallow', a beagle puppy of ours, went on one of the visits to Warstler and Cora, a beagle mix puppy, went to Warstler on another visit. 🐶

By integrating kindness, selflessness, compassion, and 'do unto others' into their curriculum, Warstler Elementary School has created a learning environment where empathy, understanding, and respect can thrive alongside academics.

Without question, the key to success in any school. Impactful, meaningful, and powerful.
