Very excited to announce I will be speaking again at the International Hoof-Care Summit. I will be lecturing on Simple Shoeing Solutions for Complex Therapeutic Problems and Finances and Business Management for the Farrier. These are two topics I am very passionate about so I am excited to be a part of this years program. Kansas City 2025 here we go. I hope to see my friends there!

April has been a busy month, and it isn't over yet. I haven't posted any of my work lately, but here is a case on a nice A level hunter. The horse was diagnosed with a medial sesamoidian ligament strain and an inflamed tendon sheath. The vet and I felt that these injuries were due to instability in the fetlock. I went with an eggbar to stabilize the limb and the extra wide bar was used to allow the toe of the foot to sink into deformable substrate-- aka arena footing. The pour pad was used to share load to the frog and bars to ease pressure on the heels as the horse also has some lower than ideal angles and weak heel structures. This is just something we don't see every day. I just want to send a shout out to all the farriers who have expanded my knowledge and enabled me to become more multidimensional. There was a time when welding aluminum wasn't a tool I had, but with this skillset the sky is the limit when fabricating therapeutic devices for the equine digit.

Many may forget the true reason for Easter, but let us never forget. Jesus came so that He might save us from eternal damnation. We celebrate the cross and the empty tomb because Jesus conquered sin and death by sacrificing himself for us, and He rose from the grave on the third day so that we might be saved. Just back from the dreamland that is Wellington Florida. It was great to catch up with my clients that spend the winter there and see how their horses are progressing. Here is one of my favorite horses owned and trained by Dana Fiore Nick is a beautiful horse and a beautiful mover. It was so nice to spend some time at her farm and see a training ride on Nick! I am proud to be a part of Nick's care team and I take pride in being a part of all my clients horses teams as they compete.
