🐾 Remembering All the Heroes of 9/11 🇺🇸

When we think of the heroes of 9/11, our minds go to the brave first responders — firefighters, police officers, medical teams, and volunteers who searched tirelessly through the wreckage.

But there were four-footed heroes too. 🐶💔 More than 400 search-and-rescue and therapy dogs worked alongside humans in the aftermath. These incredible dogs pawed through sharp glass, steel, and debris for hours on end — suffering injuries, exhaustion, and heartbreak of their own.

When only 20 people were found alive, many of these dogs shifted from rescue to recovery, or provided comfort to exhausted and grieving first responders. Their loyalty and courage were unwavering.

Today, as we honor the sacrifices of so many, we also remember the love, resilience, and companionship that dogs bring to our lives every single day.
