Hard to believe that it has been over a year since I posted anything. A lot has happened both personally and on the farm. I have left the farm and now live in BG where I will also relocate 4 of the horses. During the next few weeks, I am going to download pictures that are still in my camera. I will post them as soon as I can! I will still be associated with the farm, just not living there!

Pi Pi was born in the mud and was trapped until we found her and got her to dry land. She acquired an infection from the mud and it caused her hair to fall out and her joints bcame infected too and swollen. Thanks to Dr. Smith at Crossrds Animal Clinic she is doing much better.

It was a sad weekend. Lost a filly horse from one of Johns Champion Mares. Her name is Abigail, Abby for short and we named the filly Grace. No sleep Friday or Saturday and I am litterally a walking Zombie. The baby got herself behind a gate and could not get up and had several abrasions and cuts from trying to get up. Never did nurse to get those antibodies from the Mamma. She was totally upset and would not even let us get close to the baby for a long time. Too long. It nursed from a bottle with Karo syrup and picked up a little energy but it was so cold and rainy and nasty that it just wasn't enough.
