We are the largest breeders of Doberman Pinschers in the country for over 10 years. We got started with our own dog food in 2007 when there were recalls from so many dog food companies and many dogs were dying across the country. Our fears grew that our dogs could become victims of this horrible travesty in America. I searched the country for a company that was not part of the recalls to get our o
wn dog food produced. We then worked with 2 nutritionists and our veterinarian to develop the best formula for our dogs. Over the years we have used nearly every dog food on the market and saw the results of those foods, or lack of results. We told the nutritionists what we liked and did not like about the different foods and what we wanted to accomplish with a new food. Then we always had issues with dry itchy skin, so they increased the omegas for this issue. We did not want corn for a number of reasons so that was replaced with oatmeal. After the initial formula was given to us we took it to our vet for his input. His issue was the high protein level in the adult formula. He said that too high of a protein level can cause serious issues with adult dogs over one year old. High protein can cause the kidney & liver to overwork which can cause premature failure. The ideal protein level was 21% which is why that is the protein level in our adult food. The puppy food has higher protein level (28%) because puppies have different needs as they are growing and developing. Once we received our food, we started seeing a huge difference in just a few days with the puppies, no more soft stools. Then after about 2 weeks we saw the difference in the skin & coat. They all had softer, thicker fur and no dry skin. This formula really works. After a few weeks we saw other benefits with the food, better energy levels, happier dogs and no gas. Even our little Chihuahua was feeling better after 6-8 weeks, no signs of her stiff joints & arthritis. It works on all size dogs. Being with these dogs 24/7 for years we know their behavior and development at all life stages. We can really see the difference. This formula was too good to keep to ourselves; we started making it available to our customers. We know we have a really great product and we are now making it available in the stores at an affordable price, everyone can afford this for their dogs. We have tested this food with all of our breeding dogs and with hundreds of dogs across the country, with excellent results. IT JUST WORKS; FOR ALL DOGS!!

Answer: We are ethical breeders of Doberman Pinschers and one of the largest breeders in the world. Answer: There are several major brands of dog food that have been bought out by major companies such as Proctor & Gamble, Colgate Palmolive and Mars. A couple of these foods you will see advertised at major dog shows, I will not mention names, you will know them. These foods had built a good reputation by providing high quality food for your pets. Higher profits thru cost cutting is a major cause for the recalls in 2006 & 2007; ingredients from China. Don't be sucked in by the high dollar advertising budget. Check out the ingredients on the back or side of the bag. Here is one of the keys: chicken by-product meal. This is a trend of some of the major brands as a way of reducing manufacturing costs. I have checked with our manufacturer and there is a considerable savings by using this instead of chicken meal. There are other trends in reducing the cost and quality of the food, check the Guaranteed Analysis: reduced amounts of glucosamine & chondroitin, fewer vitamins, less omega 3&6. We are doing our best to keep the price down, but we refuse to bring the quality down. Our goal is to provide your dog with the proper nutrition and make this super premium food available to more families and pets. Your dog is worth it!

Answer: Yes you can. Our food has small kibbles that small dogs can eat and the larger dogs prefer. Also the smaller kibble is more flavorful and cleans the teeth better. The difference between food for large and small breed dogs is the glucosamine and chondroitin; joint supplements. Other dog food companies do not see the need for the joint supplements because it cost more to add those ingredients (glucosamine & chondriotin) in their foods. Smaller dogs do not have the joint issues that large dogs have, however, small dogs get old and have stiff, sore joints too, and they get arthritis. We feed the food to our 14 year old 6 # Chihuahua and our 8 # Brussels Griffon, they love it and do great on the food. Our Chihuahua has arthritis and before we got our food she could barely move in the morning when first getting up, just like people. After eating the food 6-8 weeks the results were unbelievable, she would get up and bounce around like a puppy again. So for small or large Breeders Select Dog Food is the best.
