Goldie survived coming downstairs after surprising us by going up last night. She visited Dr Amy for follow-up bloodwork and got more antibiotics to really kill her infection DEAD! We are so impressed by her!

Sick dog update! Goldie was really in bad shape last week. She just lay in the couch and sometimes whimpered. We were feeling guilty about the amputation. It turns out she’d hurt herself when she tried to chase cows. Lee took her to Dr Amy on Thursday and spent another big chuck of money to determine that she had an infection going on and an internal bleed under her incision area. Antibiotics have helped a lot and the blood is reabsorbing. She started eating normally on Sunday and today she’s walking around, coming up to be petted, and acting cheerful. It looks like we got her the help she needed.

When it’s a sunny, pleasant day, all the dogs hang out in the sun, peacefully. That is, until the mail is delivered.
