Well, Texas and Penny have that glow of excitement. They should have puppies on 10/16/2025. This is their 2nd litter. Their first litter are amazing specimens of the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed with great health and super personalities on top. There are working cow dogs on a huge ranch in Wyoming, family companions, another is a therapy dog. They are all deep red with black noses like their parentage. Texas is from shoe stock and Penny is from running stock. Both with excellent conformation and have also been OFA good and normal, and Embark Premium testing (all over 200 tests clear). Texas is Lionhounds bred going back to the famous int’l GrCh Lionhounds Simbayo Duncan (Powell) and Int’l GrCh Siska Ginger Megs. He has a double breeding also of Ch Lionhounds General Duncan (Cheryl’s own precious Baltazar, also her own natural service dog). His dam also has great lineage and her own accolades as does her parents and lineage. Penny is Braveheart bred. Beautifully planned and bred for endurance, speed and agility. Her back lineage goes to the awesome Int’l Ch Bravehearts Chisum, exceptional producer Bravehearts Pistol Annie, GrCh Bravehearts the Riffleman amongst others on bottom. On top is Bravehearts Big Jake of Lionhounds Blow Outta Hemi, (Hemi) and Bella Z Star (our Bella). It is an awesome breeding. They throw beautiful pups. Be watching. God is so good.

Hello everyone. It’s been too long!!! We took a nice summer break and now ‘POOF’;
Maverick/Rio and Texas/Penny will prayerfully be having pups in October; n ready in December. We are SO EXCITED to Hopefully have B A B I E S again. You miss those little pad feet noises, snuffle noses and kissy tongues. It is such a blessing and a joy. This will be Rio’s 3rd litter and Penny’s second.
C o m e O n g i r l s’. Such a waited for event. Maverick, (our largest Rhodesian Ridgeback), has total Champion lineage and is Hungarian bred. Texas is mostly Champion bred and his dam’s sire and dam were top #1 & 2 GNN Rhodesian Ridgebacks in the Nation. (He is Hemi’s 1/2 brother). Both sires are amazing, with excellent, loving personalities, perfect ridges and produce beautiful pups. (Texas’ are deep red). Rio is a Braveheart female from Pistol (from Gr Ch Braveheart the Riffleman),and sire Int’l Ch Braveheart’s Chisum. Penny is a Hemi/Bella & Braveheart High Velocity (known as Lolly). The purchase of a well bred purebred did not sentence another dog to death.
The purchase of a well bred purebred did not cause an increase in the number of dogs in shelter.
Someone wanting a dog with a predictable temperament from healthy lineage did not cause another dog to not get adopted.
Someone's meticulous research and support of only the most responsible of breeders is not the problem. It is not what you should be mad at. It is not what you should be pushing the blame onto.
I am not the one who brought these dogs into the world irresponsibly and left them in a shelter. Responsible breeders are not the ones who put dogs into shelters either.
It is my home, my life, and my choice of what kind of dog to bring into it. Maybe I needed a working dog, a sport dog, or simply a companion puppy to raise of a breed I enjoy. No matter the reason, the choice to support a reputable breeder did not send a shelter dog to its death.
A breeder who health tests, temperament tests, studies pedigrees, proves a dog worthy of being bred, and only breeds when doing so is of benefit to the breed is not contributing to the number of homeless dogs.
The number of homeless dogs in the world is a problem, but it is not a problem exacerbated by reputable breeders and those who purchase from them.
Your neighbor down the street who refuses to contain his unaltered dogs IS contributing to the problem.
Your friend who impulse bought a dog at Pet Land IS contributing to the problem.
That guy on Craigslist pumping out the trendiest designer mix as fast as he can IS contributing to the problem.
Your relative who just HAS to let their dog have one litter “so she can experience motherhood” or because “she’s just so sweet” IS contributing to the problem.
Your old high school classmate who bought a high energy working breed without taking the time to research its needs and realize it was not a good fit for their household ahead of time IS contributing to the problem.
A reputable breeder offers their lifelong support. A reputable breeder would never allow their dogs to end up in a shelter to begin with. A reputable breeder makes it a contractual obligation to return dogs they have produced back to them should you find yourself unable of keeping it.
It is understandable to be angry about the number of homeless dogs in the world, but if you take a deeper look, you will find your anger is misplaced.
If you take a deeper look, you will find reputable breeders and those of us who purchase from them are just as angry, we are just pointing fingers at the right causes.

Texas/Annika have 3 stunning BIG males. Texas produces perfect stride, conformation and ridges as Annika produces long, tall pups with good bone structure and more laid back personalities. How about some 54 day old and 50 day old pictures of the Texas/Penny and Texas/Annika puppies. At this age, they are so VERY funny and entertaining. We are so deeply enjoying them and their little antics for sure. We watch them from birth to 8 weeks or so and all the sudden those little snuggling, milk breathed sweethearts are snuggling into the hearts and lives of their new families. What a blessing to be part of it and know they are loved and happy. We thank ALL our former families and look soo forward to meeting the new families also. God bless you all. Look at these littles and tell me that God doesn’t have an amazing sense of humor and gets to laugh with His great Creation. It’s so amazing and never fails to amaze us. Stay warm and safe. CBS news has announced that the Texas based microchip company, “Save This Life”, has silenced the dog microchip response. Please look at AAHA.org and look at there long list of companies. You may need to have your chip rechecked and a new one implanted. This came off CBS news 3 days ago and it is important to share. Please check it out and have your chip checked to be sure it is still functioning. We want all dogs to stay found and with their families🥰 fyi

Who’s the bravest and most full of it? Can’t beat a playful silly, GORGEOUS Ridgeback puppy. At 6 weeks, these pups have bravery, intelligence and natural intellectual intuitiveness! ‘They just don’t know what a playful African Grey is. R***r is the ‘don’t chase chicken trainers’. Enjoy.

What do 27 day old puppies say? Sweet things like whine, grrrr, whoof etc. Today is the day mommy fights for her food and babies make cute noises. They are getting their precious personalities. There are 2 males and 2 females left in Penny’s pack. They are just squeeze soft and tail waggin (waddling) adorable. God makes us laugh in strange ways as He smiles at His little creatures antics.
