We had a trip to Montana for the 2026 Cocker National. It is a beautiful and unique part of our country and we saw many breathtaking sites. The dogs had lots of fun and performed very well at the event. We had 5 complete it, Kitty Dunn, Monte Keith Buesing, Gus Klein, Kharma Dunn, and Lola Jordan Horak. With Kharma's finish he got his water series which finished his FC at 2.5 years old, and Monte got 3rd at the event pushing him to 101 career all-age points. It was a wonderful finish to our 2026 Cocker season.

Well it took some time to figure out but we can now announce the Lili Roxanne Fegley won the "Storm Award" which is the North American Cocker High Point title this year, sharing it with Ted McCue and Argos who also won it last year! Both dogs had a combined total of 31 points between US and Canadian trials this year. Lili is a few generations removed from Storm but is happy to keep it in the family!

Great team weekend!! While we were decompressing from Canada the ribbons kept coming! In Cincinnati Troy Gawronski and Flint (or Glint if you prefer) won the amateur. At the MN Cocker trial on Saturday Zara and Lizard Dunn won the puppy stake. In the Amateur Dexter McGlin and Kevin got guns and 4th and Vito and Rosemary got 3rd. Then on Sunday Henry and Vickie Dahlk got amateur 2nd and Vito and Rosemary got Open 4th and Guns. Way to go team!!

Kaye and I had lots of fun at 2026 Canadian National near Kitscoty Alberta. It was a beautiful trial with great birds, amazing guns, and fantastic hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.
Lili Roxanne Fegley , Monte Keith Buesing , and Lola Jordan Horak each finished the trial and to my eye they had absolutely fantastic work. The judges were not quite as in love with them as I was but we were awarded a Certificate of Merit for Lola. That actually makes the 3rd consecutive national ribbon for Lola which is very amazing.
Thank you to our Canadian friends for a fantastic event!
