FALLEN HEROES: Six Went In. Four Names Now Known.

Grief is spreading across military communities tonight after a deadly March 1 drone strike at Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, claimed the lives of six U.S. service members.
Four have now been identified:
Capt. Cody Khork, 35
Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens, 42
Sgt. Declan Coady, 20
Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor, 39
Two names remain withheld as families are notified.
A captain. Two senior NCOs. A 20-year-old soldier just beginning his journey.
They stood the watch in a dangerous region — and never made it home.
Flags are lowered. Units are grieving. Families are facing the unthinkable.

A New Heart for 5-Year-Old Malia Croley
After nearly five months waiting at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, 5-year-old Malia Croley of Lexington, Kentucky has received a life-saving heart transplant.
Born with restrictive cardiomyopathy, Malia’s heart was too weak to function properly. On March 2, 2026, after a 14-hour surgery, her family shared the joyful update: “She is DONE!! 🙌❤️ Thank You, God!!”
They thanked the doctors, nurses, the donor family, and a community that never stopped praying. Through a page, Malia’s Heart Journey, and a GoFundMe that raised over $6,600, supporters reminded her she wasn’t alone.
Now, thanks to an incredible gift, Malia has something priceless — more time to laugh, play, and simply be a kid again.

Update: Small Steps, Real Progress
Photos from last Friday and yesterday show steady improvement in his right arm. The debridement process is working — slowly clearing damaged tissue and allowing healthy healing to begin.
It’s not fast. It’s not easy. But it’s progress.
Another dressing change is scheduled for tomorrow.

Immunotherapy Dose #1 Complete

Today was a big step forward. After a strong radiation visit and meetings about meds and pain control, Will received his first dose of immunotherapy.
The unknown is the hardest part. Steroids help his arm pain, but they don’t pair well with immunotherapy — a frustrating trade-off. Emotions ran high, fear crept in, but we talked it through and steadied ourselves.
First doses are scary, especially at 15 and already tired of hurting. But we have a great team watching him closely.
Dose #1 is done. Tears have stopped. We’re heading home to rest.
Still fighting. Still trusting. Please pray his arm pain stays away.

The margin has narrowed.
Hunter’s surgical team is now monitoring tissue viability hour by hour, carefully aligning schedules and adjusting plans in real time. In complex trauma cases, timing is everything — too soon or too late can change everything.
Doctors are closely watching blood flow and swelling as the tissue fights to stabilize. It’s a delicate balance: progress, but still vulnerable.
Right now, recovery isn’t measured in days.
It’s measured in hours.

Update: Hunter Out of Surgery — Still Fighting
Hunter is out of surgery and did well.
Doctors removed a small amount of tissue from his left hand and thumb. He’s not ready for skin grafts yet, but more Restrata Matrix was applied to help healing. The wound vac stays on for at least another week, and the pin in his thumb remains in place.
Now we wait for him to return to his room.
Please pray for one thing tonight: pain control.

Master Trooper Steven J. Perry Killed in Line-of-Duty Crash
DURHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Master Trooper Steven J. Perry was killed early this morning in a head-on collision while on duty in Durham County.
Initial reports indicate he was traveling on NC-147 when a wrong-way driver struck his vehicle. Both Trooper Perry and the other driver died in the crash.
A graduate of the 148th Basic Patrol School, Trooper Perry served Durham County for nearly seven years. Colleagues remember him as a dedicated and honorable public servant.
Officials extended prayers to his family, friends, and fellow troopers, and thanked Durham County EMS, Durham Fire Department, Durham Police Department, and NCDOT’s IMAP Division for their response.
Funeral details will be announced as they become available.

Hunter had a pretty good night at Louisiana State University — he slept until 5 a.m. and didn’t need pain meds until after 7. That’s a win.
No major changes, and he’s still scheduled for surgery Tuesday morning.
Please continue praying for pain relief and restful sleep as he prepares for surgery.
