Everett German Shepherds is a business created by my wife Carmen and myself (Colin) to inform and put out the word for high quality working or house German Shepherd puppies. We are confident that we are producing puppies that will thrive in all kinds of applications. Both the Sire and Dam have begun Schutzhund training (police dog training) and are very obedient, well behaved house dogs. They both
possess decorated bloodlines in international Schutzhund and tracking. Our Sire actually has a full brother that is currently a Explosive detection K-9. Sire/Dam
Our Sire, Bosephus is a 90 lb 3 year old Sable who is tall and longer but has great overall confirmation. He has certified as good for OFA hip X-rays and has passed for elbows. He can be a slightly defensive and protective of Carmen at home but as soon as you throw a stick for him he will go all day. He is a very intelligent dog that problem solves well and has great stamina. He is very persistent and will overcome whatever obstacles that we put in front of him. He also seems to be very fertile as he caught our female on the first attempt. Both of his parents have extensive Schutzhund lines including many SH3 and international titles. We have been contacted and use him successfully as a stud dog. Our Dam, LadyBird is a 70 lb 1 year and 7 month old Darker Sable who is short and small and has nice wide female hips and great overall confirmation as well. She also scored good on both hips and elbows for OFA. She is an absolute sweetheart who is more likely to lick you to death than bite you. But she also possesses the ability to turn on her drive and energy like a light switch. She learns things very quickly and has the ability and wherewithal to assess situations before acting. Her motherly instincts are one of her strongest attributes as she has been perfect the whole time with the puppies. She checks on each one constantly and feeds them whenever needed without any encouraging by us. These two dogs are very different from each other but show the diversity and versatility of these dogs. The Dam is predominantly trained by me while the Sire is my wife’s. We were both able to get the type of dog we individually wanted out of the same breed. These dogs can do whatever you want them to do. While these dogs can be great house dogs it is important to note that you may be dealing with a hand full if you do not give the dog a way to release drive. This can be easily achieved by many means (a walk, fetch, hunting, Schutzhund, tracking, etc.). Without giving your dog something to do you will just be keeping the dog and your relationship with it below its potential. It’s up to you to put in whatever it is you want out of them. And with the intelligence and bloodlines of these dogs the possibilities are endless. Colin and Carmen Everett
