🌞🥵🌡Summer is here and this heat wave is intense!

PLEASE REMEMBER HEAT CAN KILL

Try your absolute best to keep pets inside except for bathroom breaks or transport.

It takes LESS than an HOUR for a healthy pet to die from excessive heat exposure. Less for unhealthy, elderly, small breed and large breeed pets. It simply takes less than 15 minutes to show signs of a heat stroke.

Provide lots of water for pets, even at night.

SIGNS OF HEAT STROKE:

Panting
Restlessness
Pacing
Drooling
Red gums or tongue
Increased heart rate
Vomiting or diarrhea

SEVERE SIGNS
Lethargy
confusion
Weakness or collapse
Seizures

IF PET IS SUFFERING HEAT STROKE IMMEDIATELY MOVE PET TO COOLER LOCATION AND:

Proceed to offer small sips of water

Pour water that's room temp on your pet, all over their body. (Not ice cold water) If there is a fan near by blow it on them. If no fan is available, continue to cool pet off with room temp water.

After you've started cooling the pet off call your vet!

Please keep your pets safe!!❤️🐾
