Although Bunnies don't enjoy being picked up, there are situations such as vet visits, dental checks, nail trimming or scent gland cleaning... that require handling. We would love learning the proper way to hold our babies.

I appreciate how Mr. Bean & Friends describe cecotropes in a delightfully cute and informative manner.

🐰✨ What Are Rabbit Cecotropes?
And Why You Shouldn’t Be Freaked Out ✨

Cecotropes (also called “cecal pellets”) are NOT regular p**p. They’re soft, shiny clusters your rabbit produces once or twice a day—usually at night—and they’re packed with:
• Healthy bacteria
• Essential vitamins (like B vitamins)
• Protein
• Fiber

Think of them as your rabbit’s natural probiotic superfood. And yes… rabbits are supposed to eat them directly. It’s a normal, healthy part of their digestive cycle.

🐇 Why Cecotropes Matter:
✔ Support gut health
✔ Strengthen the immune system
✔ Help your rabbit absorb nutrients they can’t get from food alone
✔ Keep digestion moving the way nature intended

🐾 When to Be Concerned:
If you find uneaten cecotropes around the house, something might be off:
• Too many pellets or treats
• Not enough hay
• Obesity or difficulty reaching
• GI imbalance
• Dental issues
• Stress
If it happens frequently, a vet check is a good idea.

🌿 How to Keep Cecotropes Healthy:
• Unlimited hay (timothy, orchard, or a mix)
• Limited pellets
• Treats in moderation
• A quiet, stress-free environment
• Routine vet care

✨Cecotropes aren’t “gross”—they’re essential.
Let your bunny enjoy their natural health boost, and keep an eye out for changes. A healthy gut = a healthy bun.✨

Hey bunny parents and future bunny parents!
I just want to share some yummy tips for keeping our bunnies feeling their best. Think of it like their very own food pyramid:

💚 Hay, Hay, and More Hay! This is HUGE, friends! Like, 80-85% of their diet! Keep that timothy or other grass hay flowing freely. It's like their magic potion for good digestion and strong teeth (which grow non-stop!). 🌿

🥗 Fresh Veggies Galore! About 10% of their diet should be a colorful mix of fresh, leafy greens. Think yummy varieties like romaine, parsley, and kale. It's like a mini salad bar just for them! Just remember to introduce new ones slowly.

🤏 A Little Bit of Pellets: A small handful of high-fiber, timothy-based pellets (around 5%) is all they need. Skip the fancy "gourmet" mixes – simple is best!

🍎 Tiny Treats! We all love to spoil our pets, but for bunnies, treats like fruit or carrots should be super tiny and given sparingly (less than 5%). Think of them as a special "once in a while" surprise! Definitely skip the sugary human stuff.

And don't forget the fresh water – always available!
Knowing what to feed them is such a big part of showing them love. What are your bunny's favorite healthy snacks? Share your tips below! 👇

🌟 We’re Back & Recharged! 🐰

After a nice long recharge, we’re excited to be back and ready to welcome our next bunny buddies who need a little “vacation from home” while their parents are away!

We host one bunny family at a time with plenty of space, playtime, and love. Your bun will stay in their own separate room (no unfamiliar faces, just cozy vibes!).

Message me to book your bunny’s stay! 🏡🐇💌

Hi bunny friends! Just a quick heads-up! We are taking a little break and will be closed from July 24 to August 18. During this time, responses may be delayed as we soak up some rest and recharging time.

We can’t wait to catch up with you and your fluffy ones after we return! Feel free to message us, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can after August 18.

Thank you for your support and understanding! See you soon!

🌿 Rabbit Awareness Week: Let's Talk Hay... and the Rest! 🐰

Bunnies may be small, but their dietary needs are a big deal! At Fluffy Butts Rescue, we follow the RWAF gold standard*l to keep everybun happy and healthy:

🥬 85% of their diet should be high-quality hay - the cornerstone of good dental and digestive health.
🥗 10% should be fresh leafy green veg like spring greens and herbs (no iceberg, please!).
🥣 And just 5% for nutritious pellets - a small spoonful once a day.

✨ Hay should always be available unlimited, clean, dry, and accessible 24/7. Whether they’re grazing or p**ping (yep, they love to multitask), bunnies should never be without it!

💛 This , help us spread the word: a balanced bunny is a hay-happy bunny
