The farm has a new guardian, thanks to Miss Sallye and Lisa! We don't know how many decades old Floyd, our fearless tinman is, but he fits right in by the antique hay rake and disc.

Y'all be sure to wave whenever you drive by, he's smiling at you, but has to keep his hands on the reins. His mare isn't used to all of the traffic we have on our road. He came from a farm in a hollow at the end of a road, where it was very peaceful and majestic.

Jennifer and I slept through another storm last night, to wake up to no electricity. When she left for work at 0600 she found there was a power line down across our driveway. I called Dickson Electric and let them know. A crew showed up just before 0730 and started working on the tree. By 0930 power was restored and my project for the next couple of days begins.
A big shout-out to the crews that came out. There were 3 trucks here before they were done. I had brought the generator up to the house and fueled it up before finding out that they were almost done with repairing the power line.

The goats don't seem to be concerned about the impending storms, so why should we. We'll be asleep by then anyway. ...
