🐾✨ Meet the Groomer Behind Ginny’s Grove ✨🐾

Hi, I’m Christi Pickett — owner and groomer at Ginny’s Grove in Burkeville, VA. My journey with animals started young and has grown into a lifelong passion rooted in care, trust, and hands-on experience.

At just 11 years old, I trained my first dog to earn the AKC Canine Good Citizen Award. By 13, I was helping care for horses, goats, chickens, and more at a local camp. At 16, I talked my way into a grooming shop and never looked back — starting as a bather and working my way up to professional grooming through a formal apprenticeship.

Over the years, I’ve worked in shelters, kennels, barns, and boarding facilities, building a deep understanding of animal behavior, coat care, and comfort. Grooming has always been a part of my life — even while raising a family and caring for my late mother, Ginny, whose belief in me helped inspire the name “Ginny’s Grove.”

Now, I’m bringing that lifetime of experience to your pets — right here in the community I call home.
