Bio

Santa is a laid-back 5-year-old gentleman who seems to enjoy taking life at his own pace. From our volunteer observations, he appears to be easy-going on the leash and enjoys exploring his surroundings through sniffing. While Santa may not be the most outgoing pup at first, he has shown curiosity and a willingness to socialize with other dogs once he feels comfortable. Come meet Santa today and see if he might be the perfect calm companion for you!

This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the current shelter capacity. Currently the shelter is above capacity to adequately house and care for animals. This pet would benefit from individualized attention with a foster, adopter or rescue partner

06/10: Pet has been prescribed Doxycycline for 14 days as part of our new heartworm therapy. Pet is to go home with remaining Doxycycline prescribed

Santa is a gem! Easy to leash and take outside. Calm in kennel. When we got to the yard, he was loose and enjoyed sniffing around. Did long p*e immediately.

Then he came up to me for pets and really liked ear rubs and head rubs. Looks like he has some dry skin or skin issues, and he really liked it when I scratched his rump and would lean into me. Takes treat super gently and knows sit and shake.

I love him!

06/11: Easy Going

Good on Leash

Wants to Sniff; tikid and shy want to trust but scared

Santa was easy to leash up & spent his time outside just sniffing around. He did not respond to treats or other ways of trying to get attention. He did let me pet him once but didn’t really seem to be interested in attention. He acts like he has not had much human interaction.

Playgroup Assessment

06/14: PG1 - SOCIAL & DG - DAINTY & GENTLE: Dog was curious to sniff around yard and was open to socialize with the others. Eased into chase play with others once getting more comfortable with group.

🚨 URGENT PLEA FOR HELP 🚨 BUFFALO NY

Once again, we are out of space and dogs are in pop-up kennels. Large breed adoptions have hit an all-time low, and we are struggling to keep up. 💔

Nala is still waiting with a painful eye condition that desperately needs attention. Her videos are posted please take a moment to watch. Her situation is critical. 🥺

We are begging for adopters, fosters, rescues anyone who can help even one dog. Every single space matters.

It’s getting so bad out here, we just don’t understand why adoptions are so low and dumping is so high. What happened to humans 🥹

While we never want anyone to adopt a pet without thinking of the big picture and taking on the commitment of that pet for their entire life... ‼️🐾‼️ We  have been contacted in hopes that we may be able to help Huck ‼️🐾‼️

This  is a courtesy post as we are unable to intake this precious boy at this time🥲

Many  may remember him from the  Bonham, Texas shelter, he was listed as urgent, he had a happy update that he had been adopted, unfortunately things are not working out in his new home.
He is in need of a little more guidance & assistance than they can provide.🐾

We are  looking for a qualified Home or 501
 Rescue to help Huck 🙏

140-150 pounds

Rabies
Core Vaccines
Only dog household with no pets, cats or children
Prefers Females- Humans

Huck  has been  introduced to other dogs, & did well , but has high resource/food issues

 For experienced/qualified families we know that this can be sometimes overcome or concessions can be made.
We  do not have a past history on him so we don’t have many answers from his past .🥲

 His adoptive mother says that he is a total love bug, in a one on one situation 🐾❤️🐾

How could no one want to adopt this face? 🩷🩷🩷

Tutu is spayed and had vaccines, dewormer, preventatives! She is the sweetest little pup and there is no bad reports on this cuddle bug! She would make an awesome addition to any home 🩷🩷🩷
