***Some Fun Numbers for You

Every 4 months or so, I purge our client database. It’s nothing formal or scientific but I go through and see who hasn’t scheduled in a while and determine if I’ll see them again…. It’s excruciating and humbling… however, I do have some fun numbers for you from what I estimate is my existing client database…. Some of these are funny. As of today, these are a few of the estimated number of certain breeds that I currently groom. A few made me laugh… Enjoy!

94 Doodles—feels more like 200
27 Golden Retrievers—a few of them should count as 2…you know who you are
2 basset hounds-equals 6 basset hounds
16 shihtzus—one of my favorite breeds
4 corgis…. Yes they are all sassy
6 yorkies
17 Aussies—a better groom than a golden because of less shedding, better coats, and not as…..heavy and….goofy….some of my smartest and most human like dogs are aussies or aussie mixes….thinking of 2 in Boulder especially
5 chihuahuas—I was surprised that I have 5…this includes a couple mixes…. Chihuahuas get into everything if you let em
3 Cocker Spaniels (1 English Cocker—you know who you are)
2 Westies
2 Brittany Spaniels…really nice breed…reminds me of springer spaniels but smaller quicker and more agile
5 Maltese—I’m sure each of these 5 have taken a bit of time off of my life
1 French Bulldog—on a monthly schedule also lol
2 Alaskan Malamutes—also one of my favorite dog breeds….very possible that one of these two is one of my favorite grooming dogs of all time. You know who you are
16 German Shepherds!!!! Insane! Also a wonderful and misunderstood breed! Not the scary mean dogs a lot of people think they are! Quickly have become a favorite of mine!
5 Great Pyrenees—gentle giants. As good as it gets. Right there with Shepherds and Malamutes for me
2 Cavalier King Charles
2 Bulldogs…1 American and 1 Old English…
3 Shibas…..oh my
3 whippets -awesome breed
2 Brussels Griffon—most groomers will never see one
1 stubborn Newfoundland…but beautiful!
7 English springer spaniels—really sweet dogs every single one of them!
2 standard poodles (3 counting my own)—1 toy poodle
1 bedlington terrier—many groomers will never see one
1 border terrier—also very rare breed
3 boxers
5 Pugs—a ridiculous but awesome breed….
…and just because i wanted to make her read through the whole list to find her duo…….. (she knows who she is)….3 Tibetan Terriers—gorgeous dogs with too much personality…of these 3 is one of my favorite and most longstanding groom dogs…

I hope you enjoyed this list! Made me smile! I trust that many of you were able to locate your breed! I’m very thankful for that list of dogs. Many of them are very special to me. I do not take for granted the opportunity to take care of them as if they were my own!

Hello! We hope you are having a lovely start to August! Just a few things of note.

- The only days remaining in August for booking are the 18th, 22nd, 28th, and 29th.

- We have a new grooming table arriving this week. Over the last two years, we have definitely wore out the one we have been using.

- We are going to continue using the shampoo and two different conditioning sprays that we have all grown to love.

- I am looking at adding a shampoo for dogs that are itchy. It is a soothing colloidal oatmeal and will be available upon request or if I notice your pup is itchy which does happen from time to time.

- I’m doing my best to limit driving as in almost 3 years of doing this. I’ve grown tired of a lot of the back-and-forth. Because of this, I’ve now established specific dates for areas east of Highway 25 including Northglenn, Wheat Ridge, Thornton, Brighton, maybe Westminster…. I do try to communicate these dates to those of you in those areas. If you think you are in that area and have not received a message with dates, please reach out to me. As you all know, I am flexible, so don’t let this be too much of a concern. Many of you have been very understanding regarding routing and I appreciate you!

- With the holidays creeping up on us please make sure you have your next couple of appointments scheduled… I’m also contemplating a holiday themed shampoo. As you all know, I am not one for the gimmicks, but this might be fun assuming there is no sacrifice of quality… so maybe in the comments, respond with your favorite holiday smells… Let me take one off the table very quickly, pumpkin spice is not going to be an option lol…🎃🚫😀

Good morning. I hope you all are staying cool. We are looking ahead to the months of August and September—and even though the following information is included in our reply message for the business number, I wanted to include it here just to keep everyone in the loop.

Regarding scheduling and availability—July is full. My first available appointments are August 5th, 6th, 14th, and 18th. Grab them now please.

Existing clients, please schedule your next two appointments to ensure availability. Please remember, Arvada, Boulder, Louisville, Superior, South Broomfield, Longmont, Berthoud, JTown have preselected days that have been sent to all clients in these areas.

Lastly, we are very thankful for you all. We’ve had some last-minute trips planned to South Dakota and I’ve had to move some folks around and your patience and flexibility is appreciated. We do not take you all for granted. Together, we’ve built something special and I will work hard to make this good for all of us.

Thank you
Groomer Chris

Have a nice weekend. Here’s a 3D photo of our chihuahuas, Ella and Chico. Yes! They’re laying on a giraffe squishmellow!

Hey! I wanted to push out dates for the rest of the year for the fine people of Boulder, Louisville, and Superior. Please schedule on these days only by messaging our business number. We no longer answer facebook messages unless they’re funny and Victoria refuses to answer the phone.

I will be in Boulder on the following days: 7/30, 8/13, 9/3, 9/24, 10/15, 11/5, 11/19, 12/11

Superior, Louisville, and South/Southwest Broomfield: 9/17, 10/8, 11/12, and 12/16

When Superior/Louisville fills up, I will either add a day for you all or add you to the end of a Boulder day.

I am trying to stay organized with scheduling. For fear of jinxing it, I do think its been going better than in year(s) passed or past. Please note the following…

- Existing clients, please schedule your next two appointments to ensure availability. Maybe not the rest of the year because that does’t seem to work—just the next 2.

- Please remember, Arvada, Boulder, Louisville, Superior, South Broomfield, Longmont, Berthoud, Johnstown have preselected days that have been sent to all clients in these areas.

- The only remaining days for open scheduling (Erie, Lafayette, Thornton, North Broomfield, Westminster, etc…) in July are the 18th, 23rd, 28th, 29th.

Thank you all again and again. See you soon!

I wanted to share something really neat that happened in our backyard on Monday morning at 3:14am. In the video, you will notice a very cute little creature named a Ringtail Cat enter the scene from the bottom right and jump our neighbors fence. They are native to desert areas and are obviously found in Colorado but still considered rare. I’ll post a few pics from Google of what they look like when they aren’t being sneaky. They are considered a member of the raccoon family. We first thought it was a fox but the crazy long tail caught our attention and caused us to do some investigating. Before you ask, yes, we’ve adjusted our cameras to try and see her again.

Happy July! I hope you all are well. Colorado spoils us during the summer with this weather.

Regarding scheduling for July and beyond!

Availability for July is limited. We have spots on the 8th, 10th, 17th, 23rd, 24th, and 25th… Please note, Boulder, Superior/Louisville, Arvada, South/Southwest Broomfield, Longmont, Johnstown, Berthoud/Mead days are planned ahead of time and will be provided to you per your request.

As always, I’m thankful for you. You’ve given us a rewarding career in a beautiful place and allowed us to raise our kids with their Mom at home. I pray that my gratitude for you is seen in the way we do things.

Happy 4th!

Praying for our Erie friends after the storm this evening. Looked like a ton of rain!

Name the movie…. “Well a little rain never hurt anyone…yeah but a lot can kill you.” 👏 for whoever gets it!

Happy Tuesday, everyone. Just a few notes regarding scheduling… I just have a couple spots open for the last week of June. We are scheduling. Please look into scheduling your July and August appointments now. For the most part, my next available is after July 8. Remember, Boulder, Longmont, Louisville, superior, south western Broomfield, and Arvada are scheduled on specific days. If you are in those areas, I have likely sent you a list of those dates. If you do not have them, please do not hesitate to ask. I think we operate best when we work as a team. You have gifted us a fairly nice sized grooming business, and we want to run it as best we can for you.

Lastly, I’m probably going to add a boulder and superior day because there are a lot of you. there’s no need to add anyone else in Arvada unless it’s family or close friend of an existing client. I am looking for a few additional clients in the Longmont and northers areas of Berthoud, Johnstown, Mead. As always, because I live there, I will always take Frederick and Firestone clientele.

Thanks, see you soon!

One of my favorites…. Kersh! He is many things… maybe the only dog I groom who sits on his actual rear for the majority of the groom. He also eats grass at a faster rate than your typical cow, sheep, or goat… he has an impressive yet improving skin condition and is missing a toe… and this is why he is very special to me.
