This Vet Tech Week, we’re celebrating Jazmin, a valued member of our overnight ICU and treatment floor team at VERG Brooklyn!

With experience in both emergency and general practice, Jazmin has a passion for learning new skills and a special interest in anesthesia and critical care. She finds it especially rewarding to help patients through their most challenging moments, bringing dedication and compassion to the care they receive overnight. 💚

Outside of VERG, Jazmin enjoys running, spending time with her family, and hanging out with her cats. She also has her sights set on an exciting goal: running the New York City Marathon someday! 🏃‍♀️🗽

Jazmin, thank you for your hard work, compassion, and commitment to our patients, especially during the overnight hours. We’re so grateful to have you on our team!

This Vet Tech Week, we're celebrating Celica Alvarez, who has been part of the VERG Brooklyn family for an incredible 20 YEARS! 🎉

With two decades of experience, Celica has become our resident cat whisperer! 🐱💚 Her dedication to her patients and her special way with our feline friends make her such a valued part of the VERG team. We're so grateful for the knowledge, compassion, and care she brings to our hospital!

Outside of VERG, Celica loves listening to Marc Anthony, getting creative with beads, treating herself to a fresh set of nails, and going on adventures with her partner and her four-legged companions! 🐾

This Vet Tech Week, we're celebrating Johanna, a Brooklyn native who has been part of the VERG family since 2007 and has been a Hospital Supervisor since 2020!

With a career in veterinary medicine dating back to 1997, Johanna brings decades of experience and a deep passion for emergency and critical care. She loves what she does and is dedicated to providing exceptional care to her patients while mentoring her teammates and helping them grow their skills. Her experience, leadership, and commitment to veterinary medicine make her an invaluable part of our team! 💚

Outside of VERG, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her daughter, Hailey, and her beloved fur babies, Mr. Bear and Cupcake! 🐾

This Vet Tech Week, we're celebrating Christina Walton, LVT, who recently earned her Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in Emergency and Critical Care! 🎉

Christina has a passion for critical care and thrives on taking on complex cases that challenge her skills and knowledge. From managing sepsis and blood transfusions to caring for patients requiring mechanical ventilation, she is dedicated to advancing her expertise and providing exceptional care to even our most critical patients. Her commitment to learning and tackling challenging cases makes her an incredible asset to the VERG Brooklyn team! 💚

There’s so much that happens behind the scenes of every patient’s care, and our veterinary technicians are there for all of it. They comfort scared pets, support families through difficult moments, anticipate what their doctors need, advocate for their patients, and bring an incredible amount of skill, knowledge, and compassion to work every single day.
