The hold is up, and this sweet little bundle of love is officially looking for her forever home! 💕
This 22 lb. Pomeranian mix has won everyone's hearts with her affectionate personality and gentle nature. She appears to be house-trained and has been a perfect girl at the shelter. Making no messes, in her kennel!!
She gets along very well with other digd and cats.
She’s still a young pup and not expected to grow much more in size. Now, she’s ready for the next chapter—finding a loving home through foster or adoption, pending her spay surgery.

Meet Mallory!
Mallory is an approximately 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Hound mix who came to our facility already few weeks ago after being picked up as a stray. With her clean coat and beautiful build, we were hoping her family would come claim her, but instead she is now on the hunt for a new forever home.
Mallory is a happy, energetic girl who would make a great running buddy or hiking companion. She loves to be with you and in on the action, in whatever capacity that may be. If you’re looking for a new best friend, Mallory is absolutely your girl!

FOUND DOG – PLEASE SHARE!
Meet Lucky 💛 This sweet girl truly lives up to her name. She was found deep in Goethe State Forest by a forester who just happened to be in an area they don’t normally travel. We believe it was fate that brought them together.
Lucky appears to have been on her own for some time. She had missing patches of fur, numerous scrapes and abrasions, and signs of mange. Thankfully, she’s now safe, has received all the medical care she needs, and is resting comfortably at our facility.
We’re very hopeful that Lucky simply got separated from her family and that someone out there is desperately looking for her.

Adoption Announcement ❤️🐾
After an incredibly difficult day—both physically and emotionally—for all of us at LCAS, we were reminded of why we do what we do. Just when our hearts were feeling heavy, the day ended on the brightest of notes: Shadow found his forever home.
Shadow, one of our return adoption dogs, has always been a loyal and gentle soul. Today, he met a kind, compassionate couple who saw in him exactly what we’ve always known—he is full of love, and he’s ready to give it all. Watching him leave with his new family was the reminder we needed: even on the hardest days, this work is worth it.
Congratulations to Shadow and his wonderful new family. 💕 Here's to second chances and new beginnings.

Meet Shawna 💕 — the sweet girl we found on NE 65th Lane in Bronson. She’s safe with us now, but she came in very scared. Even so, she has shown nothing but gentleness and kindness to our staff. She also gets along well with other dogs, which makes us believe she surely has a family out there missing her.

She has to belong to someone—please help us find her home! 🏡🐶

🐾 Found Dog – Bronson, FL 🐾

This sweet little bundle weighing in at 22 lbs of love was found exploring behind the racetrack in Bronson, FL. We believe she is a pomeranian mix. Will not grow much more in size. A kind citizen kept her safe over the weekend in their home but is unable to keep her long-term.

The finder reports that she appears to be house-trained and very loving. 💕

🐾 Meet Bear. 🐾

This young soul was found abandoned and barely hanging on in the depths of the Goethe State Forest.
💔 His ears were filled with painful, untreated infections.
💔 His paws were raw, bleeding, and torn from trying to survive.
💔 He was malnourished, weak, and utterly alone.
No one knows how long Bear wandered out there, suffering in silence. What we do know is that he should have never been in this condition. He is just a baby. He should’ve known comfort, not cruelty.
But there’s hope.
✨ Within 24 hours of intake, Bear found an amazing foster home—one that opened their arms and said, “You’re safe now.”
He is now receiving urgent medical care and, finally, the love he’s always deserved.
We are heartbroken by what he’s been through, but we are deeply grateful to the foster who stepped up without hesitation.

🐾 Foster Update – Izzy’s Turn to Be Pampered! 🐾
No matter the hour, our dedicated staff works tirelessly to support both our shelter animals and the incredible fosters who step up for them. Today, we’re thrilled to share some wonderful news about our sweet girl, Izzy.

After 14 long months in the shelter and experiencing the heartbreak of a failed adoption, Izzy has finally caught a well-deserved break. One of our amazing fosters has chosen her to spend some much-needed time decompressing in the very special “doggy club” they’ve lovingly created just for their foster pups. 💛
Izzy will be enjoying long, peaceful walks, the tastiest treats, pup cups, chicken nuggets, and—most importantly—unconditional love. She is more than deserving of this relaxation, comfort, and care.
A heartfelt thank you to this incredible foster and her family for once again opening their home and hearts to one of our shelter babies. We truly couldn’t do this life-changing work without the support of our foster community. 💕

🎉 Adoption Update – Sam Found His Forever Home! 🐾

Thank you all for the incredible outpouring of love and interest in our sweet Sam! 💙 We're thrilled to share that Sam has officially been adopted by the kind-hearted citizen who originally took him in. 🏡✨
Sam truly hit the jackpot—he’s now part of a loving, caring family who already adores him. This lucky boy will be living his best life surrounded by compassion, cuddles, and endless tail wags. 🐶💕
We couldn’t be happier for Sam and his new forever home. Thank you to everyone who shared his story and helped us on his journey to a happy ending.
