LOST CAT!!

Please be on the lookout for Oppie, a missing cat in Bronson, FL. This sweet boy has not been seen since Saturday, June 7th, and is very missed by his owners.

Oppie is a neutered male white and tabby cat who tends to shy away from new people. If seen please contact his owner at (352)949-1751, as he is likely to run away from strangers.

Oppie has a distinct white tip to his tail, and a tan splotch on his back right foot, which should make him pretty identifiable from other tabby and white cats.

Please keep an eye out, and help us get Oppie back home!

Meet Izzy!

Izzy is an approximately 6-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix who came to our facility as part of a large cruelty case in June 2024. Luckily, this beautiful girl has adjusted wonderfully since making her way to our facility just over a year ago, and has been working hard on her socialization and obedience at the Second Chance Animal Rehabilitation (SCARs) program at Cross City Correctional Institution for the past several months!

Now, graduation is just around the corner (date is set for Thursday, June 26th), and Izzy is still on the hunt for her forever home! Izzy an affectionate, load-back girl who is content to be around you, and of course receive love and attention whenever you can give it. She would happily take part in sharing your snacks with you, and joining you while you complete chores or yard work around the house! If you’ve been looking for a content, well-mannered girl, look no further than Izzy!

Izzy is currently located with the SCARs program at Cross City Correctional Institution, but we would love to pre-approve an adopter for her for after her graduation (scheduled for Thursday, June 26th, 2025). Any interested families can reach out to our facility, or to Officer Tina Thompson at (352)498-4842.

Izzy is around 60 lbs, spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She will be ready to go home following her graduation, and we would love to have a home lined up so she doesn’t have to re-enter the shelter and the stress associated with being in the kennel!

Levy County Animal Services is located at 12055 NE 69th Ln Williston, FL 32696, and we are open for adoptions during the times below. In addition, you can contact us at 352-486-5138 to learn more information.

Meet Fawn!

Fawn is a sweet, senior bully girl who found her way to us as part of a large cruelty case in June 2024. Luckily, she has made quite the comeback from her past, and is the sweetest girl you could ask for now! Fawn has also been part of the Second Chance Animal Rehabilitation program at Cross City Correctional Facility for the past few months, and has worked hard on her obedience and manners to make her the best possible houseguest in her future forever home!

There is nothing Fawn loves more than human affection and attention, and you will often find her right by your side investigating whatever you are doing. She may be a senior girl (estimated around 8+ years old), but she will still play and run around the yard during a beautiful morning! She enjoys playing with toys, and getting praised by her people.

Fawn does prefer the company of people over the company of other animals, but can do well with laid back, respectful dogs with a proper introduction. Fawn is currently located with the SCARs program at Cross City Correctional Institution, but we would love to pre-approve an adopter for her for after her graduation (scheduled for Thursday, June 26th, 2025). Any interested families can reach out to our facility, or to Officer Tina Thompson at (352)498-4842.

Fawn is around 65 lbs, spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She will be ready to go home following her graduation, and we would love to have a home lined up so she doesn’t have to re-enter the shelter and the stress associated with being in the kennel!

Tucker is an estimated 2-3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier mix who came to us as a stray several months ago. Luckily, he has been with our friends at Second Chance Animal Rehabilitation at Cross Cuty Correctional Institution for the past several months learning manners and confidence, and is now ready to find his forever home!

During his time in training, we have found that Tucker enjoys playing in the water, and that he has lots of energy and love. On top of loving to play and cuddle with his people, he is also incredibly food motivated, and has been a dream to train because of it!

Tucker enjoys playing with other dogs, and would do well in a home with another canine companion he can run out his energy with. But at the end of the day, he would just really love a family that will allow him to cuddle in bed or on the couch to snooze the night away!

Tucker will graduate from his training program at the end of June, and we would love to have a forever home lined up for him when he gets back! For more information on Tucker, call 352-498-4842 and ask for Officer T. Thompson. Or you can call our office so we can help facilitate a meet-and-greet!

A Good Samaritan was able to trap this pup outside Manatee Springs State Park in Chiefland. Unfortunately, this pup has been causing mischief with the finder’s chickens.

The little girl appears to be a young Weimeraner mix, and while she does have fleas and ticks, she appears to be well fed and we’re hoping she has just wandered a bit too far from home.

She did not turn up with a collar or identification, so we need the power of our community to get her home where she belongs!

If you have any information on this little girl, please contact our facility at (352)486-5138, and we can get you in touch with the finder.

Meet Reba!

Reba is an approximately 2-year-old female mixed breed girl who found her way to our facility when her owners could no longer care for her. Unfortunately, she came to us with a severe skin infection that has left her coat patchy and dull, but that doesn’t stop her from being the sweetest, happiest, goofiest girl you could meet!

Reba has had her skin infection treated, and is slowly starting to heal. While her hair isn’t quite growing back yet, we know she is already feeling better free of the infection, and know her coat will be full and shiny with just a little bit of time and TLC.

We hope someone will be able to overlook the effects of this girl’s tragic past, and will show her a beautiful future where she won’t have to worry about parasites or infections ever again!

Reba is now spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. All she needs now is a forever home that can give her a second chance and allow her to heal. Come meet Reba and see just how wonderful she is today!

Many of you may remember Cleo, our heartworm positive German Shepherd girl who came to us skin and bones as part of a larger cruelty case.

We are so happy to announce that thanks to our partnership with the Veterinary Community Outreach Program at the University of Florida and a dedicated foster, Cleo has now completed her heartworm treatment, put on some much needed weight, and has officially been adopted into her forever home!

We are so grateful for our partnerships and fosters alike for sharing our commitment to get all animals that enter our facility as healthy as possible, and into loving forever homes.

If you would like to become a foster family to help a heartworm positive dog in need, please contact our facility for more details!

Meet Piper!

Piper is an estimated 1-2 year old German Shepherd who found her way to our facility after a Good Samaritan found her as a stray just over a week ago. While they were able to hold her through her stray hold, she has now ended up back with us at our facility to find her forever home!

Piper is a happy, playful girl that absolutely LOVES playing with the tennis balls (as you may pick up from the pictures below). We are still getting to know her, but hope you’ll come meet her yourself to see what a gem she already is!

Piper will be spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm tested this week prior to making her way to her forever family. She will also get a dose of monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention to get her off on the right start!

Levy County Animal Services is located at 12055 NE 69th Ln Williston, FL 32696, and we are open for adoptions during the times below. In addition, you can contact us at 352-486-5138 to learn more information.
